He’s already played more football there than he did here, or would have done here under Gerrard.

And he’s playing it for a far better club (albeit in a bit of a state at the moment) and getting paid a load more.

He’s young. He’s nowhere near finished at chelsea

Can’t help but notice a trend that you seem to admire players that ditch us 😂

Nah, that would have involved him deliberately underperforming in the run up to the World Cup. Not going to happen. Plus, I think every goal he conceded bothers him immensely.

    Spot on…

In a thread about Danny Ings you’re bringing you know who into it 😂😂

Utterly obsessed with the guy. Let it go

Don’t know what you’re on about pal.

    Up the Villa though eh?

  4. Wish him well… He scored goals for us and did what he was contractually meant to…

Never claimed we were the club of his life… We were merely employers…

Hope he does well going forth… Thanks for your hard work Danny!

Good goal by super sub Jack. He did well when he came on. At City he seems like a kid, not trusted by Pep in the big games or given big responsibilities. At Villa he felt like an adult on the pitch, a leader that had far greater responsibility and as a result  produced far more. This move has been a disaster for his sporting career IMO.

    So what?

He asked for it… His dad got a wallet full for it as well…

“Mr Aston Villa”, “Mr Villa till I die”, “Mr I’ll always be a Villa fan” decided that the sounds of Man City fans cheering and the sight of smiles on their faces was more important than that of the happiness of “his own”…

    Bollocks to him…

Moreno had a bad 15. Horrible team to come in cold against after 10 to make  debut in a new league. Leeds are shit but they're absolute dogs who can just run and run and run.

I thought Moreno was in for a torrid.

It was a brilliant display of , more than  anything, character.

He grew into the game. He was brave. Showed some quality. Showed loads of positivity to drive forward and wasn't hiding or shying away, in trying to win the ball( got caught once or twice)

I'm not saying he's the new Bouma, I'm not doing that annoying thing Villa fans do when a new signing makes a debut and looks for positives that weren't there...but that was about as  positive debut as you can get in the circumstances.

    I agree…

He struggled immediately after being brought on so unexpectedly… but grew into the game…

His goal line clearance will have done wonders for his confidence (what a clearance it was) and he almost bagged himself a goal too…

Fingers crossed he gets into his groove with us sooner rather than later!

Kamara, undoubtedly the best Villa player since PM.

He was fabulous this evening wasn’t he?

His surging runs, the range of his passing…

Possibly the most “complete” midfield display I’ve seen by a Villa player in quite a while!

That save from Martinez was the difference for me.  Concede then and I don't think we would have got a point.  Kamara must be up there for signing of the season.

Considering we got him for free? I think he is nailed on for signing of this season… and next season 😂

    Moreno looks world class 🤣

In fairness to him, looks like he’s just got off a plane and has no idea what’s going on.

Might get a bit more space second half

We probably wasn’t expecting to come on so soon…

I haven’t seen an interview from him, how is his English?

You think man City are making a concerted effort to keep us in our place?

    Because that's madness

If man City didn't buy those players someone else would

And if someone else had, I wouldn’t have had such a problem with Man City…

but because it was always them, every time? I have a scapegoat to blame for taking all of our captains and facilitating our relegation and the worst period in our recent history…

I am sorry you come across as a spoiled child who didnt get his way.. We did the same to Brentford and they won promotion

    We caused our own issues

    Do I?

I thought i come across more like a pissed off football fan who is sick and tired of the same flat track bullies taking out best players every 4 or so years

And? How is that on City

Barry was off to Liverpool before City and Delph really wasnt even good enough for us, a token English signing

How is it not on City??

City actually DID sign Barry… and that opened the floodgates to our downfall… Next was Milner just as we were holding our own… then Delph… and the summer after Delph left, we got relegated…

    Like I said… it’s all their fault…

Their owners, their players, their fans and anyone who has ever even remotely liked them are vermin…

I’d rather my kids grew up to be Small Heath fans than one of those blue Manc cockroaches

How did they sign our relegation? Was other teams challenging top 4 and Everton and Spurs didn't get relegated or Arsenal who City took more players from

Man City didnt force us to hire Lambert and sign duds like Bacuna and Richards etc while becoming a laughing stock. I doubt they cared

Every time one of our captains broke into the England squad… City signed them…

    Until we got relegated…

and then when we got promoted again…

I have friends who are City fans, from before they were what they are now. The first quote is so wrong in so far as it applies to them...but...the younger, newer fans, yeah. I mean you can delight in a mate whose team after decades of being garbage suddenly supports a side which is bloody good, and their joy at this unexpected reward.  On the other hand, there are an awful lot of nobbers who have latched on to City, when previously it would have been Chelsea or Man U, or Arsenal, or Liverpool.

Not when they are the same team that essentially signed your own club into relegation over a period of 10 years…

    **** em…

If someone tells me they are a Man City fan, I tend to not acknowledge them as even being human anymore…
