I think they are going to make top 4. They will invest in 3-4 quality players in January seeing a massive opportunity. Probably 1-2 years ahead of plan as well. They do have some fairly average players playing out of their skin but Trippier, Bruno, Botman and Pope have been very astute signings.
I hope they do…
Sportswashing by an oil rich, human rights abusing regime aside… I just want anyone to take Man City’s toys from them consistently enough so that their owners pack it in, sell up and force them into administration so they shrink back into being the Petri dish of vermin that they always were before they got gold plated…

What is this witchcraft?
Some of our players are going off and replacing the ones on the field…
Can we do that? Why didn’t Gerrard ever do that?!

You can pull up anything you want on Qatar not actually being that bad a place but as a world cup host its still an absolute joke, this world cup is a shambles
Agreed…
Saudi Arabia or Iran were probably more suitable Middle Easten locations considering they are actually regular qualifiers for the tournament…

This is all Grealishs fault…
If he hadn’t opened his stupid Manc loving mouth about Almiron, then it would only be 3-0…
Arsehole…

Of course Southgate is going to celebrate…
Theres none of our players that he wants to flog to the scum 6

I'd prefer to see heavy, heaving Boubs
As nice as that is… it doesn’t get me going like the sight of a hot, sweaty Kante…

I love learning other languages but I’m not fluent in anything other than English.
If someone from abroad has managed to speak a language well enough for the natives to understand everything they say, they shouldn’t be mocked for the occasional mispronunciation… Especially not by some bellend like that Farley who probably struggles to tie his own shoelaces…

I could imagine Christian Purslow being made of cheese, while we're just fantasising.
What kind of cheese?

He broke the news but not his call
You could imagine NSWE telling him that this was his mess, they had stopped it getting any worse but he had to clear it up.
-
If players were willing to sign for a highly decorated ex-player but inexperienced manager, then they *should* be very excited to play for a manager who has a track record of actually winning silverware
-
I wonder if Purslow had anything to do with this or if NSWE told him to sit this one out and took the reigns themselves…

He wasn’t in my top 5 choices to replace Smith in order for us to “push on”… Not even in my top 10…
but I didn’t want him to fail as spectacularly as he did because that is only bad for us…
I grew to like him and wanted him to get his chance with his Liverpool - because to get that job, he would have had to have done well with us…
Alas, it wasn’t to be… and his credentials as a young prospect of a manager have taken a tanking
-
Glad it’s happened… It needed to happen… The rot has set in too much for him to be able to fix…
The board need to get this next appointment spot on…

Just did the stadium tour today with my dad for his 70th birthday present.
It was fantastic.
Keith, Arthur, Steve and the other staff were all super helpful with my old man and really helped us with his wheelchair access needs.
Would recommend to anyone!

Imagine if there was no backhanders involved.
Imagine a country submitting their bid to FIFA.
Never been to world cup.
No footballing pedigree or history.
Physically unable to play football matches during the period the world cup will be played because of extreme heat
Nowhere near enough stadia
Not enough cities to host all of the teams
Not enough hotels to host the fans
No infrastructure to support a competition of this scale
Massive human rights issues
Questionable (at best) regime
Seriously if there was no dodgy money involved, you'd get laughed out of the room.
Luxembourg would probably be better prepared than Qatar to host this
Do Qatar even have a league recognised by FIFA?

No chance
Agreed.
Give Tammy the same number of appearances Watkins has had this season and he would have scored more

Goes to show the base salary is irrelevant these days.
They can have £300k/w and it not even be the main part of their club earnings.
The Abu Dhabi family, the Saudis, the Qataris…
All these oil sheikhs who are members of the royal families of sovereign nations famous for human rights abuses and people trafficking…
They don’t even give a toss about the sports they are “investing” in…
The World Cup, LIV golf, heavyweight boxing fights, Man City, PSG, Newcastle…
They just love sneering and proving to everyone that they can put a price on everything and anything and pay it without breaking a sweat…
It would just be really nice for once… just once… for someone to have some principles… for someone to stick the middle finger up at them, tell them to stick their money up their arses and call them out for what they are…

Foden. Back at Barcelona, damn near the whole team it seemed.
Right now City feels like when you hit that point in FM or PES Master League where you've made your team so ridiculously strong that you sweep all honours and you just end your save because it's boring now.
See, thats where I start funnelling ridiculous amounts of money to a non-league side for their unwanted players and see how they develop over the years…
Eventually when the job comes up, I take it and make it way back up the leagues with a bucketful of cash and a shitload of success

I will be actively cheering against England at the next tournament, mainly because of the hypocrisy and blatantly corrupt nature of this man…
He doesn’t pick players who are in form for “small clubs”, makes up excuses, engineers moves for players from their clubs to “Big teams” where they hardly play, and then picks them when they aren’t playing or out of form…
He doesn’t have his favourite players, he’s got his favourite clubs… and I’ll bet you he is paid to keep it that way as well…
While he is in charge and Grealish is in the squad, I actively hope we get utterly embarrassed at the tournament…

I wish we would have signed:
Juninho
Robbie Keane
Wesley Sneijder
Falcao
when we were rumoured to have been interested
