I like Bailey, but I'm still feeling he ain't gonna make it. Yes he has flashes of brilliance, but he's just too soft for the Prem. Romour has it Cole Palmer wants out at City for regular football, in a heartbeat comes to mind!

    Bollocks that… unless he’s on a free…

Every club in existence should avoid doing any business with those snide cheats…

Stoke are 1-0 up, Wesley got another 80 mins on the clock, great to see him highly rated there

    Exactly...

Imagine finally getting your big break and having it all go wrong because of some word removed like Ben Mee...

This gets mentioned a fair bit but I don’t think it’s talked about anywhere near enough.

It should preface literally any discussion of Newcastle United.

It’s fundamentally depressing that an entire fan base can ignore/doesn’t care about the extent of the moral issues around their ownership. I know for a fact that I’d be done with Villa if it were public knowledge that our ultimate owner ordered the murder and dismemberment of a journalist, without even mentioning all the other ‘stuff’. I mean, this isn’t just the slightly shady business that all billionaires get up to and that we all pretty much have to accept (sadly) - it’s literal killing, human rights abuses etc etc etc.

The same goes for any players and football staff that choose to work for them and media outlets that lick their arses.

It’s incredibly sad that a lot of their fan base seem to revel in it. Really do seem to be the most unpleasant and vicious group of fans in the league. There is no line that can’t be crossed for the sake of winning a bit more at a **** game.

Nah, that goes to Citeh vermin

  5. Such a shame.

He is our rock… Not only a fantastic defender, but a brilliant leader… articulate and polite speaker…

He really is the kind of person you’d want as the face to your football club…

    Get well soon Colossus!

  6. The owners seem like legitimately nice people…

I know a lot of that has come from the tv series they have released which is an obvious profile builder… and also that Ryan Reynolds is a comedy actor and comes across as a cheeky likeable chappy…

It’ll be interesting to see how far their journey goes…

  7. I want to see as many Midlands clubs in the Prem as possible… Gives us more derbies and gives the area a footballing identity…

The number of players that they have sold and released is shocking…

They are going to struggle so much…

Its a new thing since last 5/10 years. People support Pogba/Neymar etc over the club

    It’s an African/Asian “fan” phenomenon.

They often don’t have any links to show devotion to a club… They won’t be able to see them live as to get into the country probably involves a visa application that will be declined… They have no reason to support Rotherham or Plymouth or Scunthorpe et al.

It’s essentially parasitising off of the success so they have something to gloat about.

And considering their love for the player is what got them interested in the club in the first place, as soon as the player buggers off, so does their love for the club.

See also the quick turnaround in Tanzanian fans we had just because of a single player coming and going…

  9. I like to see Southampton do well as long as it’s not at our expense.
Having lived in the New Forest since the mid-90s, all of my pals are Saints fans and aside from some friendly banter on game days, they don’t have a bad word to say about our club

  10. Bloody love the bloke…

I’d follow him if he was leading a cavalry charge into a volcano…

because I’d bet my bollocks that he would have a plan to win that just might work!

    Just read an interesting quote:

"Regardless of how good of a day you had, Jack Grealish had a better day".

And I think as a 27 year old who came from nowhere to top of sporting fame, and wealth, you can't begrudge him that.

    Maybe youre right...

I can only wish him the best day...

I hope his career and life goes in the same way as Best and Gascoignes...

There is nothing in the below that is either a) funny or b) has any indication that you're joking or otherwise.

    BUT YEAH, GREAT BANTZ MAN.

And people said exactly the same about Jimmy Carrs joke regarding travellers and the holocaust…

And Jim Jefferies making jokes regarding sexual assault…

and Frankie Boyle making comments about the disabled…

The fact that you guys are all up in arms makes it even funnier…

You could have laughed it off or ignored it, but you jumped all over it like dogs in heat, telling the world how evil, “twisted” and “warped” I am…

I don't hate him. I dislike him quite a bit, I'd boo the shit out of him and quite enjoy him being on the wrong end of a strong tackle.

But hurling abuse at someone's family with the intent of hounding them out of the stadium because you don't like their son is just so far over the line it's incredible.

It's not everyone else being a bit sensitive, it's an absolutely warped thing to suggest.

    That’s exactly what it is…

If that kind of thing gets you clutching pearls, don’t watch any stand up comedy by Frankie Boyle, Jim Jeffries or Jimmy Carr… You’ll be on the phone to Ofcom before you know it… After all, if they said it, it must be gospel!

How times change. The thread that was started by the player's brother has become 'are we allowed to start throwing abuse at his family?'

At the end of the day it's just sport. Yes, he bought it, I was unimpressed. It's cheating. But we're going to finish in lower mid-table. It didn't even decide the game. An urgent need for some people to get outside and touch grass.

Exactly… so he did it just to **** us (allegedly “his own”) over…

and the fact that the thread was started by his brother is neither here nor there…

I think it’s been proven by daddy and brother Jack that you can’t trust anything a Grealish says or does… so put them all in the same basket…

Apples not falling far from trees and all that…
