  1. All morning they have been spouting that we are in decline and have an average gote of 20,000 yawn!!!! Yes we have had a bad season and the one before was not brilliant as we were going through big change. If they took their eyes off their sisters ass and looked at the stats they would see that we are far bigger and have bigger potential. I do feel for the fans as we have had the same with players going to bigger clubs but thats how it is.
  2. Hmm.. will we see an announcement today? :winkold: I think they will extend it, Nicky Keye has had a nightmare situation the last few months and not her fault and they will want to get as many tickets sold as soon as possible. Remember that Lambert is not going to set of a buying frenzy that will get record season ticket sales, just a frenzy of last minute buying which may hit below or the same as last season sales.
  3. I will renew when Lambert signs, dont give a shit about paying the extra plus I think they will extend it. Some people would not be laughing if Macarthy was walking through the door right now but its not about who is or is not a better fan for renewing early/ late, its about some deciding they were prepared to invest in the club even if they appoint shit and about those who decided that they were not going to invest until the club showed some ambition worth investing in. There is no right or wrong answer with this and for me (the latter of the above) I would not of taken the cheap seats anyway, my seat is fab, have been there for years and would not change it.
  4. Dante, mate, you cant make someone fall in love with you, it just happens. If she is not 100% all in after 6 months then you have to ask, does she want this as much as you do? If the answer to this question is 'no' or 'not sure'...then sorry dude but its never going to work. Both people have to want it to work, if they dont, then there is no point continuing half arsed. She says she does love me to bits. She says she wants this to work. She just needs some time to herself every now and again without me clinging to her, which is understandable. She got me a heart shaped ornament saying 'You are my happy ending' the other day. >_> So what happens when you eventually live together? Is she going to have 1 weekend off a month to have some "me time"? Or maybe she could have every Tuesday night? I live with my missus (obviously) and i look forward to seeing her everyday, she still does her thing with her mates and i do mine, but never once has the thought crossed my mind to have a break away from each other. I love being around her (and visa versa) and thats why im marrying her. Loving someone and being in love with someone are massively different things mate. Spot on Wiggy, I have lived my my gf 9 months now and look forward to seeing each other and have quality time together but we have our own interests too and find we have a good mix of doing both and as long as the time together is quality. I have never been moaned to about going the Villa, the pub, mountain biking etc but I never moan about her doing her things as neither take the piss, We have holidays together but weekends away with friends too. Living together you get on each others nerves from time to time, thats life.
  5. wooooooaaaaahhh, they HATE that. Yeah, but then they get super pissed off when you accept their answer that nothing's wrong. Disagree, she gets one chance to answer the "what's wrong" question honestly. If she says nothing then she's on her own. Not trying to sound like a nobhead. Its just how it works in our house. If she says nothing then I just give her a bit of space and leave her too it. 9 times out of 10 she'll then come and find me and let me know what's on her mind and we'll work through it. If she's in a mood and I keep asking what is wrong she gets her wish of someone to snap at. This, I have fell into this trap before (i think everyone has) and they get pissed off if you keep asking. My other half can be a moody arse from time to time but I know that she dont drag things on and snaps out of it within a few hours or overnight. so its "is everything ok?" and if i dont get a proper answer I leave it and **** off on the xbox to give her space.
  6. "Keep that seat warm for me will ya!"
  7. C'mon B6!!! Give us a clue....What is the 2nd letter of their surname? :winkold: I know nothing! just not getting excited
  8. I am staying silent after what happend with Moyes last year and OGS this year. Prefere PL to Martinez thats for sure.
  9. Can I ask genuinely who got supposed ITK while waiting in a queue?... I've seen the mention of Tescos before but didn't know what anyone was on about. CI heard a man in a suit at checkout talking about the job.
  10. edit double post Down here, in all his interviews, he clearly says he's going no where. We call it 'Lambert Speak', that has not changed for 3 years now. We also have a CEO who said we would not welcome or give permission for clubs to speak to him. Hope that helps.
  11. We have the advantage of knowing how he talks to the local press Mazrim, with respect, you dont. Down here, in all his interviews, he clearly says he's going no where. We call it 'Lambert Speak', that has not changed for 3 years now. We also have a CEO who said we would not welcome or give permission for clubs to speak to him. Hope that helps. You are in the Premiership now and a lesson to learn is that there is no loyalty and permission or not, like a player, if he wants to go he will go. I think one reason for leaving could be
  12. Yeh but we have seen what he does with a club with limited resources, I want to see someone fresh come in.
  13. This! No real money to spend with us so at best keep us up. I would rather gamble with a young up and coming manager. If he gets it I hope he proves me wrong. No I dont like the fact that we would be his back up option but to be fair how many managers have we gone for and gone for a "back up" works both ways. I want something new and fresh down VP, something for the future
  14. No, beacuse of his illness he is not. If not being ill I would see him as the ideal manager. The club respects him a lot, the players seem to adore him, he does have an international approach to his game, he is well known in Europe, he does seem to be a big motivator, you see him control the team on the pitch etc etc... You are joking! You cant base a manager just by that. I didnt imply because he is ill just as far as I know he has no coaching badges. He is a great bloke, loves the club and is passionate, not as motivational as you make out but still not a manager yet.
  15. Why!!!! I love Petrov but he is no manager at this point!
  16. With Moyes at 80/1 it would be a shock, as good as RL is at keeping things quiet he aint good enough for no bets to be going on. We laughed at the AM odds last year as there was a lot of money going on and they were right so there are leaks and I doubt its Moyes
  17. I am holding fire until a manager is announced. Last year was more than boring it was bad, yes AM has gone but I am far from convinced about Lerner and until I see who he appoints my money is staying in pocket! I said in the old thread that it wasnt just AM with me but my loss of faith in RL, if its an appointment which screams poor ambition then I refuse to invest in Randys vison for the future. Richard said a lot of things about Lerner in the past which I disagreed with but to be fair to Richard, his vision of the future with Lerner seems more realistic. The sacking must have seen an increase in season ticket sales but after his last appointment I really wouldnt be shocked if someone like Macarthy walked through the gates. Will I be guttted? yes of course, been a season ticket holder since late 80's and was going before then but never before have me and my mates dreaded leaving the pub to go to the game, or even texted each other asking who was going because it was never a question that needed to be asked. As before they will extend the deadline for reduced price tickets and the same for the interest free ones once a manager is announced, depending on the manager they made need to!!
  18. Well the daily express are saying Randy is looking to get it sorted this week. So either Randy has some one secretly lined up ready to join us (highly unlikley) - or its an Internal appointment ie Macdonald. I think the ones we all thought of as vibrant, Lambert, Martinez, OGS, Rodgers - are all out of the race now. The problem is that the press are in the same boat as us and know nothing, all pure speculation. Bored of this shit now, RL and PF really need to pull something out of the bag because after his last appointment he isnt getting the benefit of the doubt with me and my ST money is staying in my pocket!
  19. Well Thursday is the deadline for 0% finance and getting your tickets at last seasons prices. I wonder if this will have an affect? I dont know why but I really feel that although anyone will be better than AM the thought of RM does not excite me in the slightest. After the recent Carlos interview there sounds like there is problems at board level too which dont help.
  20. Fixed Yup, that is the problem. Lerner has an ego. Think there are a number of ex staff and players who can tell you that. I've heard it from the horses mouth myself. I am glad. I was worried that he didn't. If he does have an ego maybe he will massage it and spend some money and effort on the team. Having a man in charge who doesn't quite understand football, yet thinks he is right on all counts when things need doing is not a good ego to have. I wish I had listened to Richard about 2 years ago instead of telling him he was wrong.. he was not, he was 100% right and this is why we are struggling. Anyway, better not say much more about this. Funny as I was thinking the same thing, I slagged Richard off for his comments on Lerner and the General and I think he was pretty much right.
  21. well I for one dont think its about whether he was a hoofer, whether he got enough games (even though I felt he was the better player at the back) I dont think its about how much money he got for playing football while we sit at a desk etc taking a year to earn what he earns in a week. I think its about common decency, respect and communication. Whats wrong with telling the player that his wage bill is a bit high for their new plans, telling him their options so that he has some. He is playing in another country, its a short career and he wants to plan more than 2 weeks ahead and there is a lot to consider. Carlos never moaned until now so fair play, for faults he never gave less than 100%
  22. seems that we have it confirmed that the club is being managed badly. It was obvious that he was a fans favourite yet they showed him such disrespect that no employee should have been shown. I see him going to Sunderland. If he thinks it then what the hell do the other player think! THE CLUB IS IN DISARRAY!
