General, Hope you are well and are prepared for what you will witness on Sunday. I can totally understand the Police not wanting to release any details of what they have planned for Sunday but there are those of us who are concerned that our usual routine may lead us into trouble due to some restrictions that may be put in place by the law. We have a great deal of fans who are not from the area and who use the same route week in and week out and if they can't take this route they may end up ending up in an area which could lead them into trouble. If you could offer us any information that would not jeopardise the police operation it would be appreciated

8 is so much fun the consequences of failure are too bad to even think about! I had to give a big presentation to my directors and management this morning and there were all noses and manure fans. Every second slide was a picture of the villa including gabby after his goal and Agent Ridgwell had his own slide making a vital point in my presentation "If you are going to do it, do it right!" and the pic was him after scoring the own goal. I had Cahills goal lined up for a finally but the vid would not play! :evil:

General i am gutted that some feel that they can ask you for help yet when you ask for help they choose to ignore. There is not a fan on here that does not want to see standing again but please believe there are fans who understand why this has to be done. It's not just about supporting the team but supporting the club.

General, Ref standing at the back of the Holte. This has been debated and some think they have a right to stand throughout the game and for some strange reason they really dont think that the council will do this. Years ago there was a problem in the lower Holte with this and letters were sent out warning those sitting there, this did at the time help ease the problem. I would hate to see our capacity reduced because of this problem.

Birmingham City Council have said it has to go as it doesn't meet Health and Safety laws, I believe. So they are looking at part funding a stadium for small heath apparently, but won't even allow us to sell hot potatoes. I think they said it had to be FIXED catering points. Can't see this being Health and Safety but hygiene i guess but our local council are nuts! OK, can we leave discussion about the council for elsewhere, now, please. Ta. Blandy

General well done all round for getting members of the local community at the game on saturday, i hear it went well. Steve, Dont get dragged into this debate mate as the Genral has said that MON will be back more time than i can remember and who would you rather believe? Hi General, I mentioned this to you before but think it may have got lost in all the other posts. Would it be possible for Villa to set an example to the rest of the Premier League by following Rugby's lead by having an in house rule where only the captain can speak to the ref? I know Villa do not have a major problem with this but if we could set the standard then maybe other clubs will follow. I believe only Barnet do this at the moment and their bookings have been reduced by a huge amount. Dave

Are we basing all these figures on what Randy will have to pay out of his own pocket? You say £70 mill out of £700 mill is a lot of money but how much can ASTON VILLA afford as I think you need to add TV money and other revenue into the equation. Doug did not fund all of his buys out of his own pocket and he even managed to pay himself a wage! Out of interest How much TV money do we get a year?

I am shocked that anybody could doubt Randy! He has not done anything that could make us doubt him. Just cause MON hasn't spent the money doesnt meanits not there.

I think we have the money for players without a doubt! BUT and it's a big BUT i dont think our pay structure will satisfy the requests of these so called stars.

General, Firstly could you pass on my thanks to the club for such a well organised night on Wednesday, this game was obviously well publicised. Secondly, There is a lot being said at the moment about respecting the ref and although i think the standard of refereeing is poor this season i think it would make a big statement to the rest of English football if a large club like ourselves voluntarilly adopted the rugby rule where only the team captain can approach the ref. I know Villa don't have a major problem with this but i think other clubs may follow. Barnet have done this off their own back and it has massively reduced the amount of yellow cards it has received. You don't have to be a lip reader to see some of abuse the likes of Rooney give the ref and this is getting so out of control now that it has been reported that children playing under 12's football are starting to copy the players they see on television each week and surround and abuse the ref. Would there be a chance that Villa could lead the way on this, the good publicity we would get would be huge, and we may be able to teach some kids how it should be done. We must in my opinion lead by example and i see only positives from doing this.

General i have just been reading this piece in the paper and wondered if you have been taking over some of the english football fans bad habbits over to Philly Philly's football-philes looking for their field of dreams On the subject of the scattering of ashes, would it be possible that we could have some sort of memorial garden so this type of thing could be done? I have to say that reading that post put goose pimples on my arms.

General although i am against the idea of playing games abroad i have faith in the Aston Villa board that this will not be rushed through without some sort of consultation. I know that Randy is not a money grabbing chairman and i suggest to others to look back at when Randy said he would not sell the Villa Park name to make more money and it must be said more money than this playing abroad will make. This anger is not aimed at you and Randy but we have seen football tradition get lost bit by bit every season. Thank you for passing on our thoughts to Randy and though i know it would be mad to not even listen to what they are offering i hope we do not crawl over and die. I think the words go along the line of "pry the gun from my fingers"
