Of course the umpires would have to be backed up by the ICC/local cricket board(s) and that wouldn't happen. How much power do the icc have? Surely the BCCI should not be allowed to dictate whether we have DRS in test matches involving India...It should be mandetary..

Yes I love the way Jadeja has come out and attacked.... Great stuff....Honestly what do you think England can chase. I stick by 280.. I think India would be pretty happy with 280 with the way England's batting has gone and the way the track is misbehaving on occasions. But having said that once a batsman gets his eye in things seem to settle down. I think Jadeja will have a big say with England having so many left handed batsmen.

I agree snowychap it is cheating and has to be stopped. Not sure it made much difference to Steyn's figures as wasn't the ball changed after Phillander was seen doing it. Wasim Akram and Waquar Younis had a reputation for picking the seam. Even a Warwickshre second eleven player was caught doing it last year. Freddie Coleman...

Ok but I have to disagree about Woakes having watched him at Warwickshire since he was 16. On that first day on that green wicket he would have bowled better than any of the other England seamers 100%. Look at his first class record... Pace wise he's not as quick as Jordan and Stokes but he's a superior bowler...

Personally I think England can chase anything up to about 280. Not sure about India's lower order being brittle. Didn't their no.11 make 50 the last test....The brittleness seems to Dhawan and Kohli. Regarding Stokes his batting leaves a lot to be desired. No way can he bat at 6. You take away the hundred and he's scored nothing.. His bowling offers promise but although I'm biased I think Woakes is a better bowler and batsman. He's not as quick but he does more with the ball. I thought Plunkett was our best bowler myself...

Yes they have signed a number of very good players but can you replace a world class player with just very good ones...

Yes I agree with you but theres no denying that Bell has had most of his success at 5 and 6...Ballance is a strange one because he bats at 5 for Yorkshire. No.4 is a responsible position. A lot of the great batsmen have batted at 4, He is not going to be moved so its up Bell to start getting scores at 4...He may have a big chance 2nd innings... I really thought Bell would be a great but a true yardstick for greatness is a test average of over 50 and Bell averages under 45. Too man blips in form during his career....You look at the top batsmen like Sangakarra, Kallis they average nearer 60 than 50....

His record is best at 5 or 6 though and how can you move Ballance from 3 when he's been our best batsman this summer... Impressed with Ballance, very solid, good technique and a man that averages over 50 in first class cricket and list a cricket... Good player..

He still needs that big score... Only Cook out the batsmen have scored less in tests this summer....

Yes he's a proven goal scorer.. He's had a bad time these last few years but he could still play a big part if lambert shows faith in him..

Its not doing anywhere near as much today. We should go past their score...I agree drop him and make Ian Bell captain and bring Cook back in the winter if he gets runs for Essex, which to be fair he was doing earlier in the seasom. Bell needs a score as well. Its gone unnoticed how poor his form has been since last summer. Cook has taken the attention off that... They keep saying he's the best batsman, well he needs to prove it with a hundred in this innings..

Yes Flamini and Arteta are past their best and they were both found out when Arsenal played against better opposition away from home... If they sort that problem out then I think they will make a real serious challenge for the title. They are probably the best footballing side in the league...

Poor from England this morning...Bowling was too short or too wide on a grean seamer. Prior dropped 2 catches... and i get pissed off with the knocking of Moeen Ali's spin bowling. On the first morning in his only over he finds the edge of Kohli's bat and Prior drops it. Its time Prior was dropped and lets pick a proper keeper. Not Butler either....

Yes sometimes you don't get the wickets you deserve. 63 in nine games . 27 pts between Worcs and the third place side with a game in hand, they'll be fine. Problem starts when they get back in div 1. They have become a bit of a yoyo side these last few years. They are hopeful of getting Ajmal back next season... I think Yorkshire will win the first div title. They have already beaten Warwickshire twice Thing that gets me is why England haven't played Pakistan in so long. I think we play them again in 2016 home and away.... Are we waiting until Ajmal is too old....I want to see us tested against him again... Destroyed us in teh UAE last time.
