  1. today was crucial for us, luckily we didnt drop any points. we've put ourselves in an excellent position for the next two games. If we can win one of them then we will be flying poor performance today tho imo. I never thought i would say it but i thought we were going to miss heskey until carew popped up with the goal - excellent build up as well. Cuellar was the stand out performer imo. Its okay playing shit and winning every now and again, we need to ensure it doesnt becomea habit like last season, because playing shit and winning week in week out is unsustainable as last season showed
  2. **** leeds game i was on the back row with the olympic gallery covering my view - that old wembley was a terrible ground
  3. 94, 96 and the fa cup final (also the semi-final at wembley) in truth i barely remember anything from 1994 other than deano's penalty (i was too young); i was on me dads shoulders my brothers was on some random blokes for the clinching goal
  4. General, great win yesterday, but today i am feeling very annoyed and disappointed re: the ticket situation for Blackburn away in the semi-final. i was hoping to buy a ticket today given that i have a 4 game booking history (including arsenal on the 27th, which is non-refundable). Some people have been allowed to use this game as part of their booking history but i have not been able to. As someone else said in another thread, it seems to depend on who you speak to at the ticket office. i managed to purchase tickets for wigan away at least, but was really hoping to get blckburn away tickets sorted today as well.
  5. yeah but it is normally rammed whenever i hav been the ashburton is 5 mins up the road, still predominantly away fans still have a sing song but its much easier to get a beer from my experience of course, and i have only been twice
  6. the lord nelson is now called the ashburton (or at least it was in August) good little boozer, predominantly away fans and less busy than the drayton from my experiences
  7. ref should have had that word removed stephen hunt in the book for persistent fouling and general retardiness
  8. excellent first half disappointing second half, we took the foot off the gas. overall good stuff tho they were as bad as bolton we should have had a cricket score if we turned up in the second half
  9. the ball kept coming back because we were dragging all our men back. **** joke
  10. the manager cost us points - he went way too negative way too early, forcing our main goal threat onto the right hand side for mush of the second half if we had lost i dont think we could have complained about getting what we deserved too much
  11. whichever party has the most retarded name - i voted arthur scargill socialist workers party at the last local elections hopefully vote for them again
  12. i could be wrong but the lib dems always seem to do better on here than they do in real life
  13. Sorry, don't agree with that either. If Man United win 37 games in a row and lose the 38th does that mean they're no good?! :winkold: Back to the point over a 90 minute football match Young will be all over Corluka. He's so slow and clumsy I expect him to have a field day![/quote] I cant remember the last time he had a field day against anyone to be honest
  14. yeh does my head in when he is referred to as fat ronaldo as if cristiano ronaldo was the real or better one ronaldo was the best player of my lifetime so far
  15. Yeh, after he left they won the SPL in 05/6, 06/7, 07/8. Clearly, utterly trashed. maybe strachan is the better manager then
  16. we havent played better football year on year at all - 07/08 was the peak for that
  17. Gabby is playing up front isn't he unless its 4-5-1 we are playing with Heskey LM and Young RM ? yeah he is thankfully,
  18. so if he plays well out there, it is uncharacteristic, not a good decision to have played him there... yes considering has hardly ever played well out there in numerous appearances in that position
  19. gabby is wasted on the wing lets hope he has an uncharacteristic stormer out there
  20. dont think trains and buses dont will be running by the time you get back
  21. i cant beleive people are getting worked up by this its such a retarded topic
  22. are you for real?? friedel was at fault for the goal then in the 2nd half saved a couple of shots that were straihgt at him. if he didnt save them they would hav been even bigger **** ups than the one he let in.... Sorry, but that shot was very fast and had a wicked dip on it. I am not saying he was not at fault, but that made for an impecible performance thereafter. At one stage he saved a shot from Anelka which MUST have been in, and the save against Deco, not to forget the set pieces. At no stage did Chelsea (the league leaders until today) look anything like dangerous on set pieces. Defence was very well organized, and Friedel played a big part in that. Credit where credit is due. Same goes for Petrov, who was vers solid today. seen the action back on the tele and i stand by what i said we'll hav 2 agree 2 disagree
  23. OK, the cock-up from Drogba's goal aside, he was pretty good for the rest of the match and don't forget his match-saving save at the end from Anelka which probably made up for his mistake. to be honest i havent seen the saves on the tele but at the game they all looked like regulation saves straight at him or near him when i was at the game sort of shots that if they had gone in they would have been bigger cock ups than the goal he conceded. like i said, i havent seen it on the tele so i am willing to change my view once i have seen them again
