  1. Well I'd like to start by mentioning pretty much the WORST refereeing display I've seen in a while. Decisions wrong, not booking players for repeated fouling.....absolutely atrocious. As for the Villa, solid in defence, Cuellar still isn't a RB, the midfield did well, Ash especially, Downing looked knackered and Heskey was his usual toothless self. I did think it was ironic that normally, when we're getting walked all over I'm screaming "4-5-1" and MON generally does nothing. Today we were getting at them and I wanted us to stay 4-4-2 and MON went 4-5-1! I'd have liked to see Defouneso on for Heskey and Delph come on for Downing. Milner and Young out wide. Never mind. Still feels like 2 points dropped to me, though.
  2. I've just had this horrible nightmare. Getting beaten in the FA cup final at Wembley. By SHA.
  3. Why did we play the same starting 11 today as we did only 3 days ago when we have the biggest game of the season so far coming up in less than 3 days? Will we play the same 11 in 3 days time? Why is the final ball from our wingers so bloody awful? Why are Heskey and Carew still getting on the pitch before the Fonz? Lets face it, he couldn't do any worse. Brad and the defenders - 7.5 Midfield - 6 Strikers - 5 Must do better. Oh yeah, and talk about time wasting at the end?
  4. She looks about 12 you perv!
  5. that'll be that legendary scouse sense of humour... They said on BBC news last night that Liverpool largely dominated the game. they did ! The stats don't lie my friend. Possession practically 50/50 and the same amount of shots on target. I wouldn't call that 'dominated'.

  7. Should have come off at 60mins on Sunday and at HT tonight, or at least when NRC did. I don't blame Stan, I blame the man who leaves him on when he is obviously knackered. I'd rest Petrov, Downing, Cuellar, Gabby and Milner for the FA Cup game. They really do need a bit of a rest to be fair. It has been tough going with our fixture congestion. The Petrov thing is nothing new though is it? We've all known for 2+ years the guy can't see out a game. Half way through the second half he might as well not be on the pitch.
  8. I'm sorry but I wouldn't include Liverpool in that list. All they do is pass it across the pitch and try to attack through the middle every time. We created far more than Liverpool tonight, yet failed to finish our chances. I guess money plays its part once again.... Passing it across the pitch, what I'd give to see that at VP ^ This. We looked dreadful for most of the game. Yeah, we had some decent spells, but then again, we should have against a sde as vulnerable and low on confidence as Liverpool. Unfortunately, we haven't made our chances count (again) and our midfield spent huge portions of the game being completely bypassed due to our goalkeeper / defence lumping it up to Carew / Gabby or more often, nobody. I cannot stress enough how badly I thought we played for periods tonight. I'd be ashamed to say I was the manager responsible for the awful display on the pitch at times. The most frustrating thing is that the players are good enough. They either don't realise it or they're not being given clear instructions and are reverting to route 1.
  9. Christ you must have a big arse. Or big hands.
  10. Good luck to them. I didn't think I'd feel this way, but I'm actually quite happy to have the two Birmingham teams fighting at the top end of the table.
  11. All these 'missed opportunities' are wearing a bit thin with me. I'm fed up of us not turning up when it matters. We got the early goal, they looked rattled, we should have gone on and kept at them. Once again, we sit back ,look to hit them on the break, and piss away the game.
  12. Looks like this round pegs in round holes lark works then. Good to see NRC back innn the fold too. Notice Sidwell had a good game alongside him, too. Very pleasing all round.
  13. The game changed when Warnock got clattered in a challenge and had the wind knocked out of him. Prior to that he'd been bombing up and down the left and pretty much everything good we'd done had been either through him or Gabby. I will say only one thing as I am still livid about this 'performance', even after a good nights sleep - That was the worst performance, tactically, from a manager, I have ever seen. The starting XI was wrong, the changes he made were wrong, the formation was wrong and I'm not sure how many more times I want to post the same thing on here this season. Their second goal had been coming for ages and MON did NOTHING.
  14. Heskey starts on the left? Beye at RB? Reo-Coker on the right second half? No wonder we lost. Some bizarre decisions there from our esteemed manager. Surely better to play a young player in his rightful position than play an old player out. Once again we blow it. Questions need to be asked, as after a good run, the performances are dropping again. Ash looks a shadow of the player he was, Gabby is being forced to run the line on his own, Luke Young appears to be our third choice left back even though Cuellar and Beye are constantly being shown up for pace. For me, the only players to come out of that game with any credit are big Brad, the two centre halves, Warnock, and Gabby. We need a plan B and quickly.
  15. I'm not happy with turning it n against Liverpool , Man City and Chelsea and not turning up for games like this. Very poor today. If Heskey played as badly as Carew did today he'd get slaughtered.
  16. Born and bred in Birmingham. Have always lived in Quinton and Halesowen
  17. Friedel - 6 Gets 2 marks knocked off for their goal. Otherwise a solid display (as usual). Carlos - 7 Quietish game. Collins - 9.5 - Wow. This guy is one immense defender. Powerful in the air, reads the game well. So glad he scored. Dunne - 8 Has the knack of being in the right place at the right time. Him and Collins are one hell of a partnership. Warnock - If he carries on like this, he'll have every right to expect to be on the plane to South Africa. 8. Milner - 7.5 Not quite hitting top form, but as always works his rocks off for the team. Ash - 7.5 - As above really, a mixed game. Sidders - Seems to be the glue that holds the team together. Without him we seem to struggle. 7.5 Petrov - 7.5 Battled well against the Chelsea Midfield Carew - 6 Struggling for form. Holds the ball up much better than Emile though. Gabby 8 Our pocket rocket is also a pocket powerhouse now! All todays display missed was a goal.
  18. Heskey is too slow. Chelsea will pass through him when they attack and Terry will ensure he doesn't get a sniff when we attack.
  19. You're the oldest one aren't you?
