  1. Because an appealing system is a compromise from nothing being appealed which is very frustrating when it goes against you, to everything being appealed because it would ruin the game.
  2. Yeah but you're missing the point, you wouldnt just appeal anything because it wouldnt be logical.... why waste your appeals on 3 minor incidents which don't really matter. So yeah as i said, you'd use them only when necessary...
  3. Well i think the point is you dont appeal unless it's totally neccesary. How often do you see 3 major incidents in one game which would be appealed? If they don't use their appeals wisely, then it's their own fault surely. You are missing the point. Why? What is the point? Subs were introduced to improve the game, as a manager you take the risk when using them as you only get 3. Why cant that theory be applied to appeals?
  4. The point is if they have 3 appeals each they will use them, regardless of what decisions they are debating. Say we losing at Small Heath 1-0 with 3 mins to go and pressing hard to get a goal, would you be okay with their managers challanging 3 decisions, any 3 decisions with the intention of simply taking the sting out of the game? Because that is what would happen and to think otherwise is nieve. Yeah i do agree and i have posted on a previous page that the only problem with appeals is that it will be manipulated and used for the wrong reasons, i also stated i'm not too sure on what should be done to stop it. There must be a way though....

  6. Yeah it's very rare that there's usually 6 incidents in a game which leaves people absolutely confused. It's very rarely 1 or 2 moments in every game. And it takes what, 30seconds to sort it out?
  7. I think it definitely needs to come in. In this day and age it's fecking needed. The game is just so so fast now. There should be an appeal system. Say each manager has one or two or three moments in every game when they can review an incident. The only problem with that system is that, if your team is about to be hit on the counter attack, what would stop you calling to review an incident? I'm not sure how it should actually work, but something needs to be done, even if it's just a chip in the ball to determine when the ball goes over the line, it's a good start and wouldn't interfere with play. Ball goes over the line, the chip in the ball triggers a sensor, fireworks go off behind the goal, everyone know's a goal has been scored.
  8. I got my Desire today.... and wow! What a handset! Had a Hero which i've just sold.. The Desire is so much better. Really neat piece of kit. Loving it! Bring on 2.2. Athough, it's pretty perfect as it is. So fast. And yeah, Apple sucks
  9. Hope to god we dont sign Yakubu. He's really woeful to watch and would annoy everyone at VP with his lack of desire.
  10. What's it about? I've just finished Breaking Bad and in need of something new!
  11. Your still wrong thou :winkold: Aaah feck off :winkold:
  12. We'll have to agree to disagree then! I'm a firm believer that football should be played based on a system suiting the players you have at your disposal. At the minute it aint working with Rooney and Lampard THE only way Lampard and Rooney should play is if we go 4-5-1. If we stay 4-4-2, drop Rooney and Lampard, they can always come on and impact the game with a change of style / formation. Rooney is letting it all get to his head and he's just gunna get himself sent off. If we were playing someone "better" then us, then i think 4-5-1 is the best option. But our next game should be 4-4-2.
  13. Judging by club form Lampard is surely one of the best mid fielders in the world, shall we keep him in too? So no matter how badly Rooney plays, no matter how badly he cant control a ball, no matter how much he keeps blaming everyone else for him being shite, he should just keep on getting the nod to play?
  14. Leave 1 of the top 5 strikers in the world on the bench!?!? You need locking up in a padded room mate! Why, he's been playing shit! And would only perform well in a 4-5-1 formation... Hence me saying... But I do think there would be more overall balance playing 4-4-2 against this team without Rooney in it. You play the best system, not the best players. Suppose we should keep playing Gerrard and Lampard in the middle, should we? *rolls eyes*
  15. In the next game i'd have Defoe and Dawson from that list. Dawson is twice the player Upson is, and i'd start with Crouch and Defoe, tried and tested combination. Then bring Rooney on. -------Crouch - Defoe ------ J.Cole, Barry, Gerrard, Milner That's what i'd play... or the 4-5-1 with Gerrard supporting Rooney. Either one will work IMO.
  16. Anyone else feel it's time to get rid of all these stars and breed in the future England footballers now. It just seems a real lack of effort and pride from some players. I seriously believe if Gabby, Young and Downing were in that squad and playing we'd be in a better position then what we are in. It's just a total mess, Terry seems to be the instigator, I don't know who's the bigger dick, Rooney or Terry?
  17. Yeah i'd like him, he does what NRC should do. Could teach him a thing or two!
  18. I've been told today that Milner is definitely off and Ireland is coming this way in a cash plus player deal, apparently it's all complete and agreed.... however... it's a friend of a friend situation but i trust that no one in the chain has been lying, fed bad information? Possibly!!!! So no way do i claim to be ITK, just passing on what i've been told...
  19. Watched Exam last night. Was great, till the end haha.... Was worth a watch!
  20. Think the whole of England feels the same
  21. I'm not so sure. Dropping him now would drop his confidence even further and that can't be good. He needs a goal and quickly (anything will do). Once he has scored one I think he will settle down and start playing like the Rooney we know he can be. Bringing Gerrard up behind him would be a start and that will hopefully allow him more time and space on the ball. Rooney has never struck me as the type of person who would ever be short of confidence, I dont think confidence is the issue, he just seems to be letting it all get to his head. I think he needs to sit out, and reflect almost. If things are going to shit he can always come on.
  22. Here's hoping! It's criminal to not play Rooney in his best (and preferred) position! Gerrard has been poor by his standards all season, but at least play him in his best position ffs. Heskey has to go if we continue 4-4-2, in the short time Defoe was on we looked like we could actually form an attack. Call it madness but I'd consider dropping Rooney for Wednesday, in fact I think I would drop him. The pressure on him is building and building and he could crack on Wednesday, his head isn't right and he is trying to hard and the way he was dropping so deep to get the ball wasn't helping the team. I'd be tempted to take him out the side on Wednesday and Heskey for that matter and start with two strikers who know how to play together, Crouch and Defoe, we can always throw Rooney on. I know it sounds crazy to drop your best player and Rooney is our best player but it really could be for the best. I'd go with that to be honest. I think it's what Rooney needs.
