Its all well and good saying we should be buying top quality for millions but if the clubs dont want to sell and the players dont want to come then you have to go for lesser players that will push us into a position of being able to attract the top quality players. I'll fully support who MON brings in and wont jump on Randys back if its not the top quality we are all hoping for. That WILL come eventually.

I agree it does look solid, but where are the goals going to come from? The front 3 did well enough in the first part of the season. Will be good enough unitll the summer when we can get REAL quality in.

I wouldnt mind Xavier and Ferguson TBH. Hi General, Great to see you posting here at Villatalk. It makes a VERY refreshing change! Just wondering what other boards you are on and would you be interested in the CEO position? Also another little thing that annoys me - the fact that we still have our shield from the 90's and not our current shield on the majority of frontages at Villa Park (all except the Trinity Road Stand if memory serves me correct) Any chance this can be updated as the old shield badge isnt very nice at all. Yep I think you will find Baros was our first choice last summer before Beattie - so DOL got his man and out of the three I think we have the best one too!
