this is what has been frustrating me. Everyone was saying McCann is a must... you need a DM... you really dont need a specialist DM. As long as you have hard working midfielders.. they are not required. Petrov seems more defensive to me than an attacking midfielder.. he cant influence a game with his attacking skills..however with him in the side.. he goes back and helps out.. but he can play it out.. unlike McCann. i think SWP deal is dead in the water so we can forget that. Carew seems realistic. Bardsley Carew Young Id be happy with that but imo i dont think thats enough. Tainio or Barton and maybe another striker needed. Angel looks finished. Sutton was finished a few years ago. The rest are kids

what the!! Lucas Neill signing for West Ham because they offered 50k a week. Surely we could match that and get a world class right back who can play centre. I know im bias but hes brilliant. Once Bardsley goes back to Man Utd.. we have a ready made right back with plenty of experience and great leadership and for the price of Dougs worth to aston villa.
