    Chris Moyles

She knows **** all about sport though! Moyles is alright, the team help the show though, that Dominic Byrne is a leg end.
  3. You've got to post some of those pm's, please, please, please. I agree, that would be hilarious. Though leave the names off, I think that'd be a bit harsh! Yeah post them. Names too...
  4. General, Shame for the Browns today though there were some really good signs. I guess that's the gulf between a Superbowl contender and the position the Browns are currently in. Bring on week 2...
  5. Get in. Great result hey General, we are the pride of Birmingham and we shall not be moved. I hope you enjoyed the game, Richard Dunne and James Collins looked very good at the back and as a unit we played very well. Well done to the Villa boys. Up the Villa!!!
  6. To change the topic a little General, can I just say what a great decision it is by Mangini to start Brady Quinn this weekend, he will be the future of the franchise and I think he will do brilliantly this season. Please wish all those at the Browns well for the season ahead. And to add, great post, my thoughts exactly.

    I like buildings ok!!!
  9. Olof had the desire, hunger and passion for the Villa, but Gareth was an excelllent defender and leader.
  10. I read that to the 'Vindaloo' tune, is that right? It works anyway and could be a bit different...
  11. Can't believe how close this poll is, it suggests that we are very lucky imo.
  12. Ha ha thats one of the funniest things I have seen on VT for a good while.

    Genius. Their jokes always appeal.
  14. Martin Laursen though Southgate, Ugo and Olof all had a shout so its a tough one.

  16. A bit of Browns chat General... With a week to go until the start of the NFL regular season I would say that the Browns are looking in fairly good shape. 2-2 in pre season is not bad - certainly a lot better than last year - and if they went 8-8 for the regular season I am guessing that most people would be pretty pleased with that. Mangini has defintely moulded a squad quickly and dilligently, rostering players that are going to do a job in their position. I do however think that the running game is still weak, JL will be lucky to see out the season if you ask me. However, it is nice to see 9 rookies involved in the 52 rostered players and the whole set up does remind me somewhat of our own at the Villa. If they can avoid major injuries like last season and if the offense works this time around I think it will be an exciting 4 months ahead. Last thing - Brady Quinn should get THE starting job and I think he probably will. Cheers Jon
  17. Delaney by a mile. Shame about the injuries but when he did play - always brilliant.
  18. I judged it on who will likely have the best career. I voted Milner because his consistency and application would keep him in any side, where as Ashley peaks and troughs even though the peaks are immense at times...
  19. General, Please wish all our new signings and the rest of team well for the remainder of the season. I think Martin has built a good squad with opportunities to develop a few of our younger talents still available. People will moan about not replacing Barry, but who's to say we needed to or wanted to? Maybe this is a new direction, on paper it certainly looks like a new Villa and the depth is so much better compared to the last two seasons. From three years ago to now, I would suggest that we can continue to look forward with optimism. Thanks and up the Villa Jon
  20. As on tin. Would have liked a striker but not displeased and think we can move on nicely until doing some more work in January.
  21. General, Your comments on Barry surprise me given your position however I am not offended as they match mine quite considerably. Barry played ball well, but couldn't be relied upon to score other than from the spot. I believe that in Delph and Sidwell we have 2 players who can be the goal scoring midfielder we have lacked for a while though the system ultimately has to provide them with the opportunities to do so. Its not the end of the World in this case whereas with Laursen it could be considered pretty much nailed on though equally he had his flaws on the pitch. Am looking forward to our continuing redevelopment and improvement, hopefully more than 34,000 people will continue to see it tomorrow also.
  22. Why even consider getting rid of him? He is building a good side and needs at least another 2 years to work at creating a solid ground to allow for natural turnover to occur and for star players to be brought in on top of a firm squad. We can't compete financially to fix things in one season but over the last 3 seasons I would argue that we are fixing the team compared to the position pre MON. Keep him and be patient.
  23. Shame to go out on the away goals last night. Its a horrible feeling winning a game but losing a tie in such a way but even if we tried our best we must move on quickly starting on Sunday. We can get something this season, we are good enough and should use the fewer games to be played to our advantage. Is there any news on Curtis and his injured shoulder? Many thanks
  24. Pretty conclusive response to this one I'd argue...
