  1. Here we go then the race is on.... 30 pages to the magical 1000 will it be before or after the Albion game? regardless of the results in the next three games and regardless of whether we stay up or go down.... his position is untenable, he has lost virtually all of the fans and he is most definitely a dead man walking.....its just a matter of time
  2. i wish the season was over now and it was confirmed we were safe.
  3. switch it off.....you wont hear anything constructive or earth shattering exclusive...it will only wind you up. As i have said his position is untenable and its only a matter of time.
  4. It doesn't matter one jot about the prefabricated club statement. the blokes position is untenable now he has lost the majority of the fans. He will never win us back. Dead man walking Lets just hope its not at the expense of our Premiership status.
  5. This is what happens when you have people running a football club who know nothing about football. I'm afraid to say it but we have become an embarrassment!!
  6. The fans turned on him big style tonight Surely his position is untenable now??
  7. bricking it..... ....i'm just putting my bike clips on :!:
  8. More likely drive in the middle lane on a motorway at 40mph
  9. Wolves 1/1000 Blackburn 1/6 QPR 4/6 Bolton 6/5 Wigan 5/1 Aston Villa 8/1 latest odds for relegation We were 12/1 before Wigans win tonight. I seems to happen every season where one team gets sucked in. God help us if we need to get something from the last game.
  10. If you're referring to Me then I'll ask you to not insinuate that I'm in denial. Just because some people don't want to cry onto their keyboards about how much they hate a man that will, more than likely, be here next season, doesn't mean they're in denial. It just means they have better things to worry about. Regarding his CV, let me guess... you must be referring to the fact that he 'Finished 3rd in a 2-horse race in Scotland' or 'got relegated 2 times in 3 seasons' etc etc etc... those classics? Yes those classics...look deeply into them and you'll realise exactly how good that is. This bloke is not good. Ok accept rubbish and do nothing. Every time there's something you don't like just give it the old British stiff upper lip and carry on regardless. Accept second best and guess what? You'll get second best and after a time you'll get used to it.
  11. When will some people on here come out of denial? Look at his cv, it is not very good....he is not going to change....as I have said before he is not suddenly going to turn into Pep Guardiola He is a poor manager?...one of, if not the worst in Villas history and that includes a certain BIlly McNeill
  12. Having seen your post i have re-evaluted the situation and think this thread could get to 5000 pages!! As much as i want rid of him i am beginning to think he is still going to be in charge next season
  13. Yes.... ...and if not this season it will be next
  14. I can see us getting 3 draws though Can you see Bolton picking up ten points? I couldnt see Wigan getting 3 wins out of the last 4 games or 16 points out of the last 10. I hope you are right though....i just cant help but worry!!!
  15. There are three teams who only have one win in the last ten games. Aston Villa, Liverpoo and Wolves. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/tables (Sorry it will not let me do a short link) You will not get 16/1 tomorrow. People are getting a ''squeaky bum'', including me, because the way we play, i cannot see us winning another game!!!
  16. Pos P GD Pts Last 10 games 15 Aston Villa 32 -9 - 35 - DDLLWDDLD = 8 points 16 QPR 33 -19 - 31 - WLWLWLDLLL = 10 points 17 Wigan 33 -26 - 31 - WLWWDDLDWD = 16 points 18 Bolton 32 -29 - 29 - LWWDDLDWDL = 13 points 19 Blackburn 33 -25 - 28 - LLLLWWDLWL = 10 points 20 Wolves 33 -39 - 22 - LLLLLLDLWL = 4 points Anyone who thinks we are safe, then think again. The Bolton game is massive.....a MUST win.
  17. Excuses are exactly what you are putting forward. I really don't need to hear yet again what O'Neill left behind, I'm fully aware of it thanks. What he inherited wasn't ideal but it is no worse than O'Neill inherited at Sunderland and look at the positive impact he made. McLeish has failed, nobody expected him to be challenging for 4th place but our performance this season has been terrible. If you want to talk about facts. Worst home form in 26 years. 7 league wins all season. There are two big fat facts for you. You mention those facts and i accept them. Yes they aren't good and there's no getting away from that but those statistics are as a result of what has gone on before AM's tenure than actually as a direct result. so if this season is all down to what has gone on before, that includes the 7 wins we've had as well then eh? read this for some facts
  18. Exactly. I posted this in the match thread after the Stoke game Put up with the rubbish or demand and expect more
  19. WRONG. WRONG. Perhaps when you leave. Remember when Paul Falkner told us the club's hopes under McLeish? FAIL. MEGA FAIL - NO WHERE NEAR IT. CORRECT MEGA FAIL. Unless a good run is winning one game in a row, seven times dotted around the season. Remember on being appointed, the following thing was said, under the heading on the OS of 'McLeish vows to achieve success with positive approach'? OOPS. FAIL. Well you haven't done that. Or Paul Falkner on the appointment: I would say the poisition, lack of wins, awful football and lack of fans in the stadium we are in shows it is not working well. That certainly hasn't happened. I would say defending 1-0 leads for 80 minutes is not ambitious. Or was the beginning of the season an exciting start. It was a 0-0, if I remember correctly. Remember when Roberto Martinez turned the club down? We had a lovely statement saying Well McLeish certainly didn't, doesn't and NEVER WILL complement the fan base. And he certainly hasn't brought competitiveness to the club either - in fact, seeing how many games we've gone out to play and defend the 0-0 - he's been the very opposite. So all in all, I still don't know why he was appointed and more importantly, why the **** he's still here. Quality post. Shows exactly what we are dealing with. We should be regularly reminded about these statements.
  20. Since the arrival of Randy my dream has steadily turned into a nightmare.
  21. that was hard to watch....lots of endeavour but very little quality....and as for the Villa... turgid dross. We are Aston Villa, not Blackburn, not Bolton, not Wigan, not Wolves, not etc etc....we are Aston Villa. Demand and expect more.
  22. If we are being honest he was a dead man walking the moment he either lapsed into madness or was blinded by money and accepted the job. The fact that two seemingly sensible men and a te aforementioned individual managed to sit down and somehow agree that this appointment was and still appears to be in the best interests of the club is where reality becomes stretched. Even now, i genuinely do not know how the reasning went???????? I have said this before in other threads. It is because we are being run by people that do not know about football.....because if they did, they would never of made the appointment....and that is purely based upon his cv.
