    Sloppy passing mostly. Trying to play it too casual then having to rush our passes.

    I have no problem with rotation but I think maybe half the team at one time is too much and just affects the way the team works together. Bailey was poor first half and brilliant second, drawing defenders to him and creating space for other. Not everything he does comes off, which is frustrating, but I reckon we'll see more and more of him on the left. Bringing Bert on and having him do the same on the other side of the pitch stretched their defence out in the last 10 minutes allowing the likes of McGinn to pour into the box and get on the end of things. Thought Ollie was also immense when he came on and showed the huge difference he makes as a team player, as opposed to Duran and Zaniolo who were just happy to do their own individual thing for most of the match. I don't think Ollie had a meaningful shot on goal but he set up about three golden opportunities when he was out there.

    Would have liked to see Watkins and Duran together for a bit but these are good changes

    I think we'll see Watkins and Duran up top together to start. Emery will want to see us bang in a few to get the win and the Euro campaign back on track.

    He's developing an excellent relationship with Diaby. As they start to really click it's going to cause some teams some real headaches. Genuine pace and ball carrying ability, with the likes of Ramsey and Zaniolo following them into the box.

    Without Mac Allister and Caceido midthat central midfield just doesn't carry enough threat to unravel our highline like Liverpool did. Cash did a fantastic job on Mitoma and McGinn was back to his old self. Probably one of Watkins' most complete performances ever for us.

    Didn't see any of the game but figured this would be a likely result because you can't just play your first team 3x a week and have to rotate - and our current rotation players are all very one dimensional. That rotation looks miles different with Carlos, Moreno and Ramsey to call on. Once we have those guys back fully fit then we should be able to play alternate teams without sacrificing too much quality. In the end we probably have left the cupboard bare in terms of having young, enthusiastic ballers to bring in for these games - not having a Revan or Aaron Ramsey to come in and have a red hot crack is disappointing.

    Watching on a weak Qantas WiFi signal over the Nullarbor and nearly woke up the whole plane shouting "just shut up you stupid woman!" Several times.

    Deserved win even if we got a bit of luck Watkins looked much better today too, even apart from his goal. Digne looks knackered though. I really hope Moreno's ready to come back into the rotation soon.

    All three of their goals went end to end without any Villa player getting near it. Yes the defence was horrid but this was a whole of team failure.

    To me Cash is one of the players we need to be careful of over extending as our only recognised RB. In normal circumstances I'd play Chambers as a purely defensive RB and let Moreno maraud up the left. However, this might be Cash's only chance to play for Villa in his"home" country, so it could be a big game for him.

    We are looking like flat track bullies so far. Main issue is inability to maintain composure under a tight press. We have the ball away too much and that leaves your defenders caught with their pants down. Zaniolo looked very good though, and he looks a better option than Bailey.
