I thought Chambers did a pretty good job on the circumstances. McGinn was my man of the match but just by a smidge, because he kept driving us even when we were under the pump. Tielemans and Bailey could have been just as easily too. Bailey is just unplayable at the moment. Ramsey is on the cusp of being back to his best but his end product is not quite there yet. And worth noting that Gibbs-White is one of the few players in the league who seems to have figured out that if you want to beat Martinez one on one you've got to lift the ball over him.

Absolutely pathetic the way Zouma goes down and stays down after a light tap to the face with a live opportunity for his team to score and he's just lying in front of the goal like a big cat-kicking numpty getting in the way, simply to make a point to the ref.

Diaby also set up Rogers for a pretty easy shot.

Watkins motm on numbers alone. Some of the things that Moreno did tonight were absolute filth. Pity Rogers was unable to score from that chance. Would have done him and Diaby the world of good.

Btw Aus play Sth Korea in the Asian Cup quarter finals later today. Barring a massive shock Ryan will be in goals, but you might get a glimpse of Gauci on the bench, which will give you an insight into his Villa career for the next 6 months.

Absolutely top drawer young keeper. Has all the attributes but also maturity beyond his years. Will be Australia's no 1 soon enough. I think if this goes through it will be a loan back deal until next season. Sitting on the bench watching Emi won't do much for him or us.

He has absolutely nothing to work with going forward. Tielemans' work rate is poor and Ramsey is still working his way back. Hopefully Rogers might help reinvigorate that left side for us a bit

The one goal we scored was from fast thinking, decisive movement. I'm not sure why we just fluff around with it 95%of the time. I mean, if you're going to turn it over, at least turn it over trying something...
