  1. How the hell did he win that?!
  2. And Cortez reinforced his rep as being a crap ref.
  3. He's lost imo. And I really didn't enjoy the fight. Hopkins was there to spoil the fight, which for a good spectacle does not make IMO.
  4. Well I'm guessing his undefeated record is gone. A nice night of watching 2 big blokes hug each other.
  5. I think he's coming back into it, but not enough. On for a loss without something amazing coming out of Calzaghes locker.
  6. Hopkins has Calzaghe all ends up for strength, hence why Calzaghe will probably only win on points. Not a good start at all.
  7. Calzaghe down after a minute in the first. Nice start... Quickly back to his feet.
  8. Managed to get a stream. Here we go.
  9. Rev... too close to the truth... Since I'm here... One from the beer kellar last year. £5 for the stein and special prices for fill ups, pictured here with a stein of Guinness! It was windy. And my hair was crap at the time. And yes this may aid Rev's campaign that I am the Adversary, Destroyer of Kings, Angel of the Bottomless Pit, Great Beast that is called Dragon, Prince of This World, Father of Lies, Spawn of Satan, and Lord of Darkness. Or Jason Lee.
  10. I wasn't going to but Looks like I may since I can't sleep. Might do a trawl for streams or just radio it.
  11. General First post in this topic but long time reader. Genuinely proud of what everyone is doing behind the scenes at VP, even if I can't be there as much as I'd like. And great to have a great man like yourself as a bit of a front man! Thanks! Mosiacs look immense and I felt really proud of something like that coming back to Villa Park. The old girl is getting her glamour and class back. Anyway to the point. You may have noticed the Speculation thread featuring Big John and links to Werder Bremen. The quotes in it refer directly to Carew and, as far as I'm aware (and others on the site) this is breaking the laws of the game, the so-called 'tapping up' allegation. May be worth having a look into this, since we as a club have been found guilty in similar manners before it seems only right we can have the law work to our favour. Something to look at after the derby? Thanks again General and keep up the sterling work!
  12. Hopkins is past it but don't think Joe'll knock him out. I really don't think he's got the strength too and Hopkins has a head like a boulder.
  13. Went with Calzaghe on points. should be an interesting fight, Calzaghe's got the speed on Hopkins I'd reckon but I don't think he's got enough in him to put him down.

    Do you read?

I'm currently on the Algebraist by Iain M Banks. I wanted to try some of his sci-fi sinc eI like his fiction so much, and got told this was a good one to get into it because it's similar to his 'Culture' series but outside it, lets you get a taste for his brand of sci fi. And my god was it dull for about 200 pages. Just this immense feeling of it not going anywhere fast, the alien species the book deals with heavily, the Dwellers, aren't that believable, the main character this isn't terribly likeable and I found the stuff he's describing really hard to envisage. I was really struggling to slog through it. hit about page 300 and it kicks into gear, finally. Starting to turn into a bit of a page turner, finally! I've been wanting to investigate another book, House of Leaves, thats meant to be a bit of an enigma. Worth a look on up on it to see whether it might catch you're interest. It's written in a very odd way, the text's layout becomes reflective of the plot and events, so for example a chase scene sees a single word on each page for 20 odd pages . The whole book deals with the idea of a labirynth (sp?) and the way the text is laid out is supposed to encourage that feeling of being lost and confused. It's apparently a very interesting read, a bit of a horror with a load of storylines going on on the same page, footnotes made by one of the protagonists, codes and things in the text... I think that'll be my summer reading. And I fully expect someone to come and say 'It's crap' or 'that sounds awful' quite soon .
  16. Kinetic - Radiohead they've done some top notch b-sides down the years.
  17. Nobody knows exactly but it's likely it'll be a mission pack. There were suggestions of whole new areas of the game, which I severely doubt will happen. And these are almost certainly going to be 360 ONLY benefits, Microsoft gave Rockstar a rather large sweetner for exclusive DLC content, and I suspect they'd not be happy if Sony got it as well. (Having said that I'm sure they'll make their way onto the PS3 eventually, just as the older GTAs did making their way to the Xbox).
  18. We've got 2 turncoats on the site...
  19. A guy goes to the pub, and says to his friend: "You won't believe what happened! I was taking a shortcut along the railway track, and I found a girl tied to the rails. I untied her, and then we had sex over and over again, all the positions, everything." His friend replies: "That's great! Did you get a blowjob?" "No, I never found her head."
  20. I can't put them in order but a top 3 for me would be Scarlet, Keeley and Kelly Brook. I can't choose... Slightly OT but one of the former hottest women on the planet I saw while I was hol on the telly. Gail Porter. God she was absolutely stunning way back when. Such a shame.
