  1. In negative spin World, yes. MON did a fantastic job in working up a 12 point lead over a side like Everton in the first place. No, it would be a disgrace if Everton finish above us again.
  2. Martin Jol is a good shout, at Spurs he built an English spine and sprinkled it with foreign talent.
  3. I agree you can't expect anything in football it's ruthless and debilitating like today, but that doesn't mean there aren't flaws or issues to debate, or we can't question MON's management style. We are in competition with Spurs and City and therefore we will use their successes and failings as measuring sticks to our own ability. I'm all for reasonable debate but I accept people's emotions run high over their football team.
  4. Why post that then? Why is anyone posting such **** utter shit in this thread? If Glaston reads this, he has reason to call Villa smalltime. Anyone does. This thread is gash. Nothing wrong with debating the Villa, we all share the same passion and sometimes individuals view things differently.
  5. I agree, rotation certainly does help with tiredness and personally I would use rotation if I were a manager. But one thing people are missing is that rotation also has it's negative points. Settled sides often perform well and rotating teams can unsettle a team. If we had rotated more during the season who is to say we won't have dropped more points? No one can say, but to simply assume we'd be in a better position by rotating players is a bit ignorant. Equally, we could finish strongly by rotating the squad more often.
  6. I'm thinking; I think it's reasonable to question MON's flaws and ask questions of his management style. This club's ambition is to challenge for fourth with the likes of City and Spurs. MON is stubborn, he won't change his style and that is hampering our chances dearly. Today was embarrassing, but it wasn't just today I started to lose faith in his management.
  7. Yep. People want Luke Young, they want rotation, they want 4-5-1. Well, you got it. Though being serious, poor refereeing decisions and individual errors by players are 2 things that a manager can't do anything about. Not sure what people really expect MON to do there, play the game and ref it at the same time? Rotation is essential to stop fatigue, he just isn't doing it enough. MON's methods are archaic and won't help us get the 4th spot. The FA cup is the last shot of glory this season.
  8. Time for a change, he has no fresh ideas to move the club forward, we are playing some really bad football at the moment also.
  9. We've been awful for the last few games; no composure, no energy and MON has been making excuses about the results.
  10. We've been shite for the last three games bud.
  11. Fourth's over, oh well, at least we've contested a cup final. **** mug MON
  12. yesssssssssssssssssssssss Carew!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
  13. Pretty much this for me. I expected Chelsea to get a fairly comfortable 2-0 win so I'm not going to throw a strop because we're losing. Call yourselves Villa fans, **** joke.
  14. I wouldn't be opposed to the 4-5-1 system. COTV
  15. I want us to win the cup, I don't care who we meet in the final.
  16. MON's done many great things for the club, but I don't believe he can take us forward. Randy's view is key, and I am pretty sure he will back him for a long time. And I'm pretty sure he won't. He's invested over £200m into the club already, he's not going to settle for being also rans in 6th or 7th place for ever. What I am saying he will get time, whether he moves us forward or not, he would have been given the time to do so.
