ah well, it still makes me laugh, and i can't feel sorry for them. even the undeluded few. We've been through bad times at Villa, now its their turn in the long-term i'm sure it'll make them strong.... one of the strongest club in League 1 in fact!

nah, nowhere near the top 10. stayed with us for 11 years! misguided at the end, but Liverpool didn't come in with another offer for him, so he had to go to Man City. The money helped sure, but he would have taken less salary to go to Liverpooool.

so he's basically asking for £240mill for a Championship club with a higher wage bill than income. :shock: crazy fool deserves everything he gets. i just hope he stays on & manages to get Newcastle relegated to League 1.

Ah finally VT Book snobbery to go with VT music snobbery :-) I think Archer is the worst writer I have ever read, by some margin. I actually read two of his, because I thought the first one had to have been a "blip" - NOBODY could be that bad a writer and sell so many books. The second one convinced me.

Just finished reading a recent book by Jeffrey Archer called " A Prisoner of Birth". Fantastic book, one of the best i have read in the past couple of years. i would recommend everyone reads it. kind of a legal murder revenge thriller.

agree with the majority view. although its pre-season, we needed to at least draw. a good pre-season gets the confidence up, plus the chance to play Real Madrid & Juventus. and a £2mill winner's cheque.
