  1. Hmmm seems like my PC will run it, might have to join the fun
  2. PC spec anyone? As it looks like I might have to brave the big city tommorrow
  3. Anywhere one can buy this game online? I hate going to the shops and I just checked amazon and they were quoting 4-6 weeks And is there a Min PC spec for it? as my decrepid machine might not take it
  4. The daughter of Kenny, just because she presented my daughter with her prize at prize day a few years back
  5. Baros was our first choice, no question about it. DOL wanted him LAST SUMMER Beattie was second choice and Bellendamy was third. We reverted to first choice when it was obvious he was available again
  6. It'd have to roll from game to game
  7. Hmm, I wouldn't play solano, I'd play two holding players (DJDJ / Gav / Barry) alongside Berger / Hendrie / Davis And as I said, I also wouldn't play it every game only against weaker teams. I'd say 70% of our games would still be with two upfront And that would be down to form but I do agree with what PB said earlier on in the topic that Milan is being bpought with Angel in mind to partner him
  8. I think it depends how you play all three and which teams you play them against, also how prepared the three in question are prepared to learn "new tricks". If we're playing three upfront a la chelski, I can see it working against certain opposition against others I doubt it will work at all
  9. The whole team was only offside 4 times in the whole match and I distinctly remember one of those being KP (the others I don't remember) but even if all the other three were JPA, thats an offside every 30 minutes, constant I think not. I'm not saying JPA had the best game ever, he had a quiet game for sure but the amount of stick he gets is unwarranted and after one game into the season its a bit sensationalist to say the least
  10. Jesus Christ, instrumental? Hardly, you could have made that pass Bicks. I can think of at least 5 players in our squad who would have cocked it up
  11. If JPA was that bad on Saturday how come he was instrumental in the KP goal? Angel lays the ball off the Hughes who crosses inch perfectly for KP who had eluded the defence at the far end of the defensive line. Or is it only the cross and shot that count these days of goals and asists, the person that spots the full back running up the wing and lays off the inch perfect ball so the full back can cross is obviously not very good and should be dropped
  12. I'd check your facts and recharge your memory cells as that is simply not true. (remember the season he was having under JG then GTMkII inexplicably dropped him for Crouch, he would have finished with 20 or so that season too if GT hadn't been a complete idiot). You can hardly count the GTMkII years when it comes to discussing Angel So Angels carrer at Villa goes like this Has trouble settling in in first half season (due to club giving no support at all - well documented) Second season plays a blinder until GTMkII comes in and drops a Bollock by dropping our leading scorer and breaking up a winning partnership to accomodate his purchase - Peter Crouch DOL's first season Angel is again great Last season, injured pre-season and needed (due to squad siaze) to play far earlier than would normally be expected, has a shit season as a consequence And the costing us £10mil thing is irrelevant, thats about £4-5mil in todays prices Can't see where he's FAILED though, every time he's had a bad run of form, there's been a good reason for it
  13. Hmmmm, must have missed that, when exactly did Angel FAIL as a striker?
  14. Well I've thought all along that in some games DOL wants to play the 4-3-3 / 4-5-1 formation that is currently en vogue. With these three forwards he could easily play this with Baros and Angel being the wide forwards that drop back to midfield when defending and having KP as the central striker. I can only see him using this tactic in certain games though. When its two up front - the two inform / fit strikers
  15. There's only one bar, its not like the Royal Court where there was a bar for each floor, before after whatever, I'm easy, let me know closer to the time and we'll arrange it
  16. I think I was probably at all of those gigs Wish I still had the stubbs though Oh and cheers Blandy, just scored myself a couple of SR tickets, two together in the circle row k - see you there for a pint or six
  17. Sigur Ros at the Phil? shit might have to pay for a gig, when did you buy your ticket blandy (or and where?) Which academy are SFA playing at? (there's two, Carling academy owned by the Mckenzie group and the University one - which is really the Mountford hall)
  18. Won't be going to many more myself unfortunately either, my favourite venue in Liverpool has shut its doors for the last time, no more free gigs at the Royal Court for me (I used to work there for years), its been sold and is being turned into a Comedy Club This means I might actually have to ...........gasp.............pay to go and see a gig, something which to the best of my knowledge I've only done twice in the last 20 years :?
  19. Stand in front of the mixing desk then, best place to stand at any gig, you don't get moshed around and you get the sound as the sound engineer hears it (ie the optimum place to stand accoustically)
  20. Lets hope it's not too small, one can only imagine the moaning your poor missus would have to put up with if it was. Pathetic
  21. avfc1982 you are on record many times on VT as saying you will only be happy this summer if we sign another striker and a central defender (it may have been a left back too can't remember) so in light of that repeated statement, why do you appear to be arguing a contrary opinion on this particular topic? Just curious you know?
