Troubling that we are not being linked with backup GK options.
-
Feel 8th is an accurate reflection of where we are and how strong our team is. The teams ahead of us are all stronger and the ones behind us weaker - bar Chelsea once they start clicking.

Traore is not a starter.

Just Googled the new crest again. It's solid compared to the last few iterations. Don't like the star as I find it small time/limiting. Missed opportunity to do something really bold in terms of branding. But happy we will soon be done with the poorly designed current badge.

No point in worrying about this lads, if we finish in the Europe spots happy days, if we don’t then we don’t, at least we’ll know where we “slipped” up.
We’ll be up there next season no matter what.
That's what West Ham and Leicester said.

Not questioning his quality, but he has really not been good enough the last few games. So many missed passes and failure to stand his ground. His petulance also really annoying.

Buendia has been ok after a rough start.
Ramsey, however, has turned over everything he's touched.
Thought the opposite. Buedia is really frustrating to watch sometimes - especially is pouting every time he loses the ball.

How many times have their fans shouted for a penalty? It is ridiculous, must be well into double figures. Tough half, they have worked out our defensive line, but hopefully we can keep up our goal per game record and prevent them getting another. A point would be a real bonus today.
Was thinking the same. Someone with some clout really needs to call them out. It's embarrassing.

Not true. If Brighton win out except for us, they finish with 70. If we win out, we finish with 69. Beating those two alone puts us in very good shape, but it's even further from a guarantee.
I don't think Brighton will win out with their fixtures.
I did not mean mathematically. Spurs and Brighton have a few matches they will likely lose - so if we can get 9 points including wins versus them, we are very likely to finish ahead of those two clubs.

win against Spurs and BHA and we will basically finish ahead of those two clubs if we can win one further match.

Whether we decide to sell or not is one thing but they’ll definitely be loads of interest in Cam this summer. I think we may receive some pretty big bids. All 3 promoted clubs will surely be interested, plus maybe some already in the PL.
I expect us to resist of course but he is strengthening his reputation every single week now. If anybody offers anything close to £30m, it would be very tempting I’m sure.
If we want to get a decent fee for him, it has to be a PL club that buys him. I don't believe any Championship team spent more than 10M total on transfers this season - with most spending zero. Ultimately, hope he plays for us.

We can stop the UCL chatter now

Can't believe there isn't a better GK in all of Sweden

I'm so relaxed about our summer transfer activity. Usually I get frustrated that the club aren't signing the type of player that we obviously need. Im confident that Emery knows exactly what to get and will identify quality additions, so am happy with whoever he decides on.
Emery has earned our trust.

Its not a question of selling him. Its a question of finding a club willing to take him . About £20 mill on his contract. Of course Saudis would pay but i dont think he would have any interest in going.
Family is important to him. Got all the money he ever needs which was why he accepted a huge drop to come to us . And has some good friends now here with his family settled.
He will be here for a while longer i reckon and Emery will get him going.
If he contributes to the squad, better to keep him - even as a bench player, than sending him on loan and still paying a majority of his wages.

Has to be backup to Ollie next season. Loan out Duran to our feeder club and hope he does well in a half decent league.
Might be tongue in cheek, but let's not call Vitoria our feeder club. It's supposedly going to be a symbiotic relationship.

With spurs against Newcastle this weekend that’s points dropped for one or both teams, just hope we put in another performance in against Brentford
Unless we dream of winning all 7 of our remaining games, we want Spurs to lose this. Similarly, we want ManUtd to defeat Spurs and BHA.

Spurs were always our best bet imo, horrible run in.
A - Newcastle
H - UTD
A - Liverpool
H - Palace
A - VP
H - Brentford
A - Leeds
I can see them losing the next 3 at least, and I think we’ll beat them at VP.
If they win 3 of those games - they get to 62 points. Meaning we need at least 4 wins and a draw to be ahead of them.
-
The likes of Digne and Bailey are decent bench options. Their wages/transfer fee probably dont justify a limited role - but don't see any club willing to financially invest in them.
-
Highest point total of a non “Big 6” in the past few seasons was 66 and 65 by Leicester and West Ham respectively. We’ll have done incredibly to get close to that given the start to our season

What happens if West Ham win the Conference League? Is one of the European spots taken?

Is this match available online?

Kamara, Luiz, Dendoncker and Iroegbunam give us a really solid defensive midfield rotation

One of Everton, Leeds and Leicester will go down. Makes me happy.
