Youth football is hard to figure-out as an outsider. Looked the business in many of the youth games I watched on AVFC TV. All the best to him.

Damn now I hope they stay up. Cmon deano
Yeah, was hoping they got relegated too. Now have no choice but to root for them.

Was hoping West Coast. If East Coast, I rather just fly to VP next season for a proper match.

Thanks for clearing that up. Evidently yesterday his poor positioning, tracking, 91% pass accuracy, cutting off passing lanes all contributed to the loss yesterday.

How many goals have the opposition scored as a direct result of Bertie?
Liability doesn't only mean a defensive blunder. Positioning, tracking back, help-defense, making the right passes, etc. are all a part of it.

Slightly OTT but not making UCL will really be a big blow for the likes of Spurs, Liverpool and Chelsea. At least for the former two would completely change the way they operate and approach the transfer market.

We got the full Bertie experience yesterday. A maverick goal as well as a casual looping pass back towards our central defenders which gifted Forest a chance and Martinez had to rush out to nullify.
I wonder what Emery will make of him next season.
It's why he will not be more than a super-sub for us. Too much of a liability. Extremely thankful for his goals though.

Who knows! We could beat Liverpool and Man U but lose to Brentford and Fulham knowing us it’s just nice going into games knowing there is a chance we’ll take three points.
Emery has exorcised those demons.

For those that followed Emery at his previous stops - does he usually play with just one winger (Bailey) and has the fullback on the opposite side (Moreno) bombing forward? Or is this a product of our personnel?

Today was only the second time Brentford have lost at home all season so they are still a very tough team to beat and when they lose it's by a goal so will be a tight match.
When will Ivan Toney's punishment be announced?

I think it's just our style of play. Works away and against opposition that presses you (usually the stronger sides), but not effective at home against weaker opposition that is ready to sit back.

BORING!!!

with Fulham, Brentford, Liverpool and Brighton left to play, we'll basically be playing a bunch of six-pointers in the coming weeks with 6th place within our hands
-
A manager's life cycle at a club is basically between 2-3 years.

Feel Ramsey is having a decent game despite two breakaways where we should have at least tested the keeper.

I miss him

Interesting that we have more victories than Chelsea and Brentford and only one less than Newcastle, Liverpool and Brighton.

Was brilliant today. Going to be gutted if he's replaced in the summer, one of my favourite players
If someone comes ahead of him, he still would be a great to have on the squad. Cleary KKH does not seem ready in UE's eyes

Dougie and Mings were top class. Cash and McGinn really finding their form. Buendia and Ramsey lackluster despite their goals.
It's been a few games where we are really good in the attacking third.
-
Too bad the Championship is bankrupt these days. Pre pandemic we could have probably gotten 10M+ for the likes of KD and JPB who in all honesty will not break into our squad. Now probably just 2-3M tops.
-
We are not street smart on these VAR calls. Should be screaming and yelling at the referees like Arsenal always do.

He'll be a player. Every game he has come on he has had some moments. Impressive for a teenager.

Was never a big fan of his but he is playing really well. Seems to have found his confidence.

Solid player, unfortunately tainted by the Stevenage blunder.
