You can basically tell by the cross-pollination of the different Villa podcasts who the top villa podcasters/commentators are.  I've basically narrowed it down to about 4-5 top ones.

Feel we should have an alternate AV or V logo that would appear on the back of shirts, hats, etc.   Believe a Villan mascot would be fun too - certainly pretty unique in the footballing world.

Some poor passing from Torres.  I'll take a draw in this one.

Questions need to be asked of our medical/physio team as several players have had immediate reoccurrence of injuries. 

How many shots on goal does Z have?  3-4?

Digne has had an excellent  start to the season, but his inability to push the ball to the byline really handicaps us in games like this

We don't seem to have another gear we can go into it. Never going to breakdown this defense with such slow play.

Having to root for rival English clubs so Villa has access to the 5th UCL spot is painful.

We need English teams to start winning if we want the 5h UCL slot.  ManUtd and Arsenal losing yesterday not helpful (and the likes of Villa and Brighton losing last week).

We need to learn from Newcastle

My expectations are so low,  I'd be absolutely thrilled if we get anything close to Teale's designs.

Looks like club is leaving the design to fans. It will thus be a monstrosity. 

Decor/Design looks terrible.  Hopefully it was done in a rush and it will improve.

He's been poor, but similar to Chambers against Warsaw, can't expect a player who has hardly played to come in and totally be synched to the rest of the team.  

Put in Digne for Dendoncker and move McGinn to midfield.  Should sort out our issues.

Would presume they would have tested the kits during a training session.  If it creates issues they can just play in the the training kits.  

Seattle Sounders of MLS just announced a rebrand. Think they did a good job (follow link to see the different applications of the logo).

I was in one of the club crest redesign focus groups. The only thing everyone could agree on was that Aston Villa is a unique name.  Other than that there were so many different thoughts on traditional vs contemporary,  star vs no star, roundel vs shield, FC or no FC, etc. etc. Fan consultation when it comes to design has its limits. Best to leave it to design experts. 

There are no glaring weaknesses in our first 11 at least.  It's really about incremental gains at different positions and the greater squad. I'd look at the weakest links our bench - Olsen, Traore, Chambers and look for upgrades on them. So essentially GK, FW/Winger, RB/CB

Being USA based - this is a really good deal.  I'd jump on it if my local sports teams offered this.   I know it's a different sports consumption culture in the UK.  

All those get your business done quickly and quietly deals Purslow orchestrated ended up being bad business and costing us a fortune. Our transfer business is a lot more public now but at least we are getting good value.
