If or when he is appointed i just hope people get behind him and the team, otherwise there is no chance of the club progressing. I also hope this protest doesn't happen because it is pathetic and so small time. All managers deserve a chance to succeed!!!

I dont think its a case of who has won more trophies but as to who is the right man for the job. My personal choice would moyes. Made everton a top 7 side on a low budget id love to see what he could do at the villa with sufficient financial backing.

At 65 grand week its unacceptable to wait for ireland to come good. Hes had his chances and been an absolute disaster and after his comments about birmingham im more than happy for the club to sell. Get 5m for him and put that towards a top centre midfielder whos willing to put some effort in.

Absolutely gutted by this news. The fact that it was believed downing was signing a new contract made the ash's move a lot more bearable but with this news it is obvious once again we are just a feeder club to the top 4 or clubs who pay higher wages. Sick to my stomach

Considering hes barely played at all this season, thought he was fantastic yesterday. Also hes a goalscoring midfielder which i think we have really missed this season after milners departure
