  1. Keep flushing the bog!....... they gotta go down !!!!!!
  2. This is as nerve wracking as watching us defend a 2 goal lead
  3. This last 20 minutes is going to feel like 20 hrs
  4. Please dear God not another last minute of the last game of the season rescue for small heath........
  5. Got to hope that Blackburn do not lose......
  6. Emery I am sure knows by now exactly what our problems are and what type of players we need, as well as those we don't need. He will have learnt alot about how and why we lose games or the lead (the Villa panic mentality). The issue is we either don't have the players as they are injured or we haven't yet got those players, but we will...
  7. Yeah our defence seem tired, more and more teams are playing the ball over the top of the defence and running through to try a beat the offside trap - and a lot of teams are trying that now.
  8. Mr TRO as always makes good comments. The walking pace even losing 2 - 4 with 15 mins to go, where is the urgency? I think a lot of the reactions on here of blaming players for this or that mistake is sometimes a bit unfair. The team appear to be running on empty and for all of them playing European games is a new experience that they will learn from. But I think the main issue for the negative reaction is that we have been starved of success and good times for so long now, when a rare potential chance of a final and maybe even winning it comes along and we trip over ourselves in the 1st leg, of course we are all disappointed. We are at halftime in this tie there is still time. Get an early goal and watertight the defence and we have a chance. Come on guys Dougie never meant to miss the penalty - he was trying to focus on the penalty despite the shithousery going on behind him - I guess karma from the Lille game....
  9. My latest routine when getting to VP is to walk down to the McGregor statue and touch his left foot for luck. I started doing this before the Brighton game where we had to win to qualify for Europe. As a ST holder I go to most games and now follow this "tradition" and every game so far I have attended i have done this and we have never lost. Last night I could not follow my "tradition" due to AVFC stopping access for the team bus. So therefore I blame the teams bus for last nights farce. If I was allowed through the police cordon to touch McGregors foot we would have won...
  10. I think the missed penalty has decided the tie to be honest. If we play like we did last night in the second leg we have no chance, we were predictable, slow, poor at passing and decision making, no urgency and worse of all no movement the ball pulling opposition players out of position... What is it with us when we surround their penalty area attacking them, then either look for a way to walk the ball into the net or ending up retreating and passing the ball back to our keeper? It drives me insane!!! If you take a shot at goal it could get deflected - like their goal. Why are we so afraid to shoot sometimes? The slow walking pace from defence through midfield and then into attack just gives the opposition time to reset their defence. Olympiacos wanted it more than us last night. To be fair the result cannot be blamed on one or two players, all of them were poor. However in context hopefully the person who collasped last night in L2 recovers and all thanks to the prompt medical attention. MOTM award goes to that person who apparently carried out CPR
  11. Putting it all in proportion, last night was a game of football that we lost. Without prompt medical attention a life could have been lost
  12. Hello Arsene Wenger, didn't realise you posted on here....
  13. Ipswich is 45 mins further East from me here in Newmarket. My journey to VP is about 2 hrs. It's not a bad route to drive but it's a bit of a drag sometimes to be honest. Yeah getting to Ipswich will take ages by train. Much easier to travel from Brum to Ipswich than Brum to Norwich... It would be great if Leeds failed to come up again
  14. Would be great to see Norwich beat small heath and relegate them, if Dean Smith still managed Norwich then it would definitely happen !
  15. Of course! (Been a while since I saw an episode!) You are right about David Jason, you get the impression that he really enjoyed himself. I think he did other characters as well, such as the weasels... I have the full boxed set on DVD somewhere...
  16. Yeah ok you got me on the magic roundabout And the Woodentops and Andy Pandy were sh#te, and I knew that when I was 5....
  17. I used to and would still love to, but at nearly 66, my high speed bursts down the wing, beating 2 defenders, cutting inside to deliver an inch perfect shot into the top corner of net......are well gone.....!
  18. When my kids were younger it was Thomas the Tank Engine narrated by Ringo.....and Wind in the Willows narrated by David Jason, these episodes were genuinely very funny. Not forgetting Sesame Street of course... In my day it was the clangers, magic roundabout, Thunderbirds and stingray. Today's kids stuff is total rubbish in comparison, as mentioned on this thread, some of it is very disturbing, odd, and strange stuff that kids watch. I am sure the program makers were/are on drugs.
  19. My year old grandson loves watching somone playing and commentating on some Mario game or something similar on the telly or tablet via YouTube. I cannot get my head around it, I would much rather play the effing game than passively just sit and watch somone else...what's all that about?
  20. First ever watching a live womens game for me. General observations, not as much cheating such as shirt pulling and rolling around as if being shot and more respect for the ref. Thought we might get more than 4000 yesterday, is this usual for a womens game at VP? Perhaps it reflects the poor performances this season. Villa, seem low on confidence, loads of misplaced passes, poor first touch and decision making. Thought our keeper looked very solid to be fair on her debut, really disappointed for her with the soft goal at the end of the game. West Ham, their number 20 was a very dangerous player we had trouble keeping her quiet - very good player for them. Their number 9 also looked good. Conclusion, would I go again YES! As long as it was at VP. It was a fun day out, far less stressful than watching the mens team! It was also good to see the match from a very close to the pitch side in C6 row 10 instead of K5 row 27 at the back of the Holte! Ps my granddaughter loved it and although is a confirmed Ipswich supporter she might just now be a Villa womens supporter .... VTID
  21. Imagine this happening the night we play the scousers.... Comprehensively beating liverpoo Confirms 4th place Also we can celebrate small heath being finally flushed
  22. Don't you mean the average age of a sky viewer is 6.....! My grandson has just turned 7 and one of his relations bought him a liverpool kit for his birthday.....the little s#d seems to be already brainwashed.......feel I have failed as a grandparent
