Saturday cannot come soon enough. I've got a free pass from the family to watch football from our kick off through to final score - accompanied by beer, lots of beer. So in an ideal world, we draw at Saints, with some entertaining football, which injects some jeopardy into the day, which gives me a pass to watch the Hull game which they lose 16-0 and then it's time to get completely mullered and into a state that prevents me from being trusted to bathe infants. Yep, today's sky sports article says nothing new, however it does say that it is unclear if Halo have the money or not - which is a change from what Sky news first reported - so they clearly don't know, whereas ol Pat Murphy and John Percy at the Telegraph are quite sure the money is already there and haven't changed that stance since the story broke. If the money IS there, then it's a question of who's money it is...

As villa fans we've been conditioned to expect the worst, we all thought spurs and everton would do us, we all thought against west ham we'd bottle it, but all our conditioned thoughts have since been proven wrong by a manager and team who are playing freely and full of confidence. We do this next season, with investment and we'll be doing very well.

Nearly there. This has been the closest season to relegation yet. It is staggering how Sherwood has got the players calm, relaxed and confident in these games, games where had we lost just one of Spurs or Everton, we would be deep in the mire. I think he must be a hypnotist.

We win, sunderland and leicester lose, then worst situation to relegate us that could possibly happen is that sunderland need to win their last two. Not mathematical but in that scenario, we are basically safe.
