Definetly looks like an established team will go this season so tight down can also see it going to the last game of season..hoping we are safe by then. I'm hoping now we will keep out form going better to be improving then starting well then dropping off badly like we did last season

TBH neither Chelsea or Liverpool are playing that well currently so think there is a fair chance of some points there

Certainly Harry got SWP playing as well as he has done in ages.

One aspect that was pleasing is 2 spells near the end where we kept the ball , now granted we didn't progress with it but it took the sting out of QPR.That is something in previous seasons and even under MON that wouldn't of happened we would of just kept hitting the ball long and sitting deep. Bent and Ireland were not used but have been previously.We have rotated alot and tried different systems again progress from the rigid systems and same players every match we have worked to previously.

Yup I'm sure he did the same with Holt early on last season

Doubt it PL wnats players who want to play for the club not just earn money further more I recall PF on a radio talk before the Spurs game last season and he was not happy with way Downing acted.I highly doubt we would bring him back.

Wasn't great with the ball last night but I think his overall game has come on alot he tracks back and gets his a good share of blocks in.His corners were better last night on the whole.Whipped in rather than floated.

If there was a clause in his contract then we would have sold him in the Summer not played him for a few more matches then dropped him to stop the clause happening.

4 teams played tonight that are in trouble we had the youngest least experienced team out of the three ..and we won.Good performance ..no it was a very nervy match but we got through it...and scored from a corner.So I prefer to look at the positives right now.

It's a case of PL assessing his options at RB looking at Hutton who isn't going to improve and on high wages and deciding it best for us and him to call it quits. End of the day I doubt we are asking that much for him in relative terms for an experianced internatinal RB and there seems to have been little if any interest ..same with Warnock there is a reason for that both are really not that good.When you consider the fee's and wages paid for them 2 and add Shorey,Beye and Young into the mix I bet the total sum is mighty scary ...

PL makes a lot of the club being the most important thing , Bent in moaning to the press IMO annoyed PL as he see's it as Bent puting himself above other players and disrespecting the players picked over him.

Thats the thing I can not see Liverpools oweners spending that type of money on him.Always rumours of Liverpool wanting him ..think it's all agent talk myself.

No chance we would loan him out ...unless we are receiving a sizable loan fee and Guranteed purchase fee at the end. Would not surprise me Liverpool trying this they spent a huge amount on loaning Sahrin ..loan fee, most of wages and paying for his rent

Completely agree with last paragraph the league is stronger this season.Need to put a run together to pull into mid table. I would say for me Everton first half and the 2nd halfs at City and Soton are when we have been very bad.Rest of time we have been not too bad but conceded poor goals.That's what we need to work on and some better decision making in the final third.

Didn't PL drop Holt alot last season too ..? As said above the front three currently playing , Bent can't play in their roles effectively

The problem with Dunne is there is rarely a middle ground he is either a Rock ..or a complete liability.

Yeah Newcastle been hit with alot of injuries at moment..as have Wigan though which is good for us.

Not suprised he has gone how they drew with us at home last season I don't know probably the one match we were far the better side.Not improved this season despite spending alot.

You should always give a new manager a chance but we are in a dodgy place at moment add that to the last 2 seasons and no wonder fans are feeling negative. When was Walker brought and when was he sent to us !!Coz is sure as shit wasn't as soon as he came from a lower league club. Pienaar injured or not Redknapp brought didnt work out and was sold back..it wasn't a successful transfer what ever way you want to pitch it. Do I agree with Givens contract but it still only goes to the Age Fridel is now so long term it looked better option for continuity.Ultimately Spurs got Friedal and just spent £10mil or so on a keeper to replace him long term.Friedel was a short term solution for them we looked longer term. He was let go from Spurs as long term they didn't seem him moving the club on..simples.As for Pompey he spent massively and won them the cup fair do's but it wasn't sustainable and look where they are now.So you don't know what was happening at Board level at Soton but it was obviously something because lord knows saint Harry couldn't possible of **** them up alone...
