    If we play 4-4-2 with Sylla and Westwood in the middle I think we can get something. If we go for the dreaded 3-5-2 formation we'll be properly beaten by their wingplay.

    Kjaer is a bit of a hot head when I've seen Denmark and Hoffenheim play. He's quite like Clark in that aspect. He needs someone calm and collected next to him, like Agger.

    Sadly most scandinavian CB's are signed by now. There's Rogne at Celtic, but he's young. Played well in CL for them tho. Forren would be good but he's at soton. Mellberg would be ideal.

    Sylla adds some spine, tho we need another central defender. We played well in 4-4-2 last time, so let's get someone in for Clark and put him into midfield if Sylla needs some time.

    Looking at it, I think our club could have positives from going down. We'd be able to clear almost all of the deadwood and let the kids mature with less pressure. If Lambert is left in charge he'll have a chance to develop kids like he did at Norwich and keep the budget at a point where it's manageable.

    We've got to hope that one of the french players are overly enthusiastic and tackles someone badly for a red card. Benteke should be able to insult them a bit in french to aid the sending off. Any news on Dunne?

    I'm hoping one of these french players will have a moment of crazy and get booked. Pref. Sissoko as he's been known for that in Ligue 1. Newcastle can't possibly have gelled with all those new foreign players coming in.

    Warnock confirmed loaned to Leeds, should free up alot of wages for someone. If there ever was a time for signing someone for those wages it would be now.

    Time to give Dunne 20 minutes or so. We can't afford to not have him match fit for Newcastle if Baker can't play.

    Now those two players I'll be happy with. I'll be happy with anything atm tho, even if we just sign a guy to stand in defensive midfield.

    If Lerner wants to change the manager again then I think he's doing the wrong thing. If he's going to fork out lots of wages to RDM and give him the funds he'll demand then I think he might aswell give those money to Lambert and let him have a go until summer. We need stability, not a new manager every 6 months.

    Clark is a liability at CB, push him into midfield and put baker alongside Vlaar. Dunne and Vlaar would deal much better with corners than Clark and Vlaar. Clark is a bit like Smalling, alot of potential but very immature in a footballing sense mentally.

    Does Bannan inspire people? Does Bannan talk? No he doesn't. Bannan goes for Hollywoodpasses all night long and barely contributes. Westwood is 10 times better for the Bannan role.

    God how I miss Petrov. Sign someone who's fat and lazy for midfield for all I care, as long as he can keep the likes of Delph, Bannan and Westwood calm and collected. We fall apart when anything negative happens to us.

    I'm inclined to think that come May Newcastle will be in trouble too. They're buying too many French players with little experience from a league like ours. QPR and Reading to be the other two teams going down. We nick a couple of QPR's new players in the summer.

    Newcastle buying another frenchman, how surprising! I'm starting to think that they'll actually go down as they're buying far too many players who aren't used to this league from liegue1 which isn't exactly the best league in the world. The only team I'm worried about around us is Soton, they've bought wisely and seem to have found the gas pedal. Hopefully they'll suffer from the new manager tho.

    Time to pitch a tent in the airport and put up facial recognition cameras. Obsessed? Nah.

    I think it'll be 2-0 to us quite early - Gabby and Weimann to score. After that it can go either way. Hoping for something like 4-1. If we convert our chances we'll be fine. We should have had at least 3 against them away.
