    McLeish: "Downing isn't for sale for any price." What he says about Bent means nowt if Liverpool put a price in. Randy won't be able to resist the tempetation.

    Fans seem to think there's no chance he'll move to a different club because he touched the crest and said he's happy to be here. Means nothing. He did the same at Sunderland. The board have the power to keep him. But they won't put any fight if an offer comes up and Bent wants to leave. If Bent is sold, it would really affect us this season. Not just goals wise but morale as well.

    He didn't have a good game yesterday. Luiz had him in his pocket and his 1 on 1 hasn't improved at all. Why does he always hit the ball towards the goalkeeper without any force? But he still remains our best player this season and deserves to start.

    Will people stop banging on about the Anfield incident. I wasn't happy but Houllier isn't our manager anymore so it's time to let it go. The Spurs match however happened recently and seeing as McLeish is still our manager, and seeing this is a thread where we can be critical about him, I think it's valid to discuss his lowest points. It also seems fans are getting too over excited now that we've managed to pick up a result against the top 6. The Swansea match tommorow could be devastating and we'll be back to square one with this manager.

    The Spurs game was worse than the Liverpool/Man City league games. Why? Because we didn't have any serious injuries yet McLeish used 6 defenders and didn't change a thing when it wasn't woirking. The score flattered us. It should have been 6 minimum. But I'd say it was on par with the Man City FA game. Houllier should have used our best team for that game.

    He would have to do something incredible to win me over. I'm still not entirely convinced but at least there's some promise now.

    Easy there fella. It took Ireland 16 months to actually do something worthwhile here. I don't think he should win us that easily yet.

    I hope once Herd is available again he'll put him at RB and Cuellar in the middle. There's still the concern of Warnock and to a certain extent Dunne's prone mistakes, but at least our defence will improve. Leave Clark in the midfield, we look so much better wtih him there.

    I can't believe we were trying to sell him this summer. I hope we don't sell him. Always rated him.
