  1. Dont buy this for one minute. "He didn't realise..." Rubbish. The clubs media people for one would have made damn sure he new. And again, the only way you can delete on FB is if it is your post OR on your wall. So we really have no way of knowing who deleted what. Its all too slick to be believable I'm afraid. That said, the "fact" that the club are considering AM doesn't mean they will appoint him. I for example and considering doing Scarlett Johansen up the wrong 'un later.......
  2. You are obviously getting your website editors confused If that is the case - I humbly apologise.
  3. How is there any way that we can possibly know that? Also - isn't Jon Fear a know as a self-publicising clearing in the woods?
  4. This was it, taken from H&V but the original post itself has been removed from the alleged FB page: "Richard, you know I am not going to tell you anything. I will say that the uproar over McLeish is absolutely uncalled for....he certainly has proved he can manage in the big leagues...just imagine what he could do if he was with an owner who supported him." "First off, NO ONE is confirming a rumor...I am just stating a belief. You all cling to the fact that he has seen his lads relegated twice...well, the first time he was not with the Club long enough to make much of a difference. Secondly, ...look at the owners he has worked for and their support of him monetarily. Then look at Randy and what he provides to his Managers. Third, look at his record with other Clubs...as a Manager and player. Check with Sir Alex and ask him about the man...you will get an entirely different sense. All I am saying is that the fact that he managed BCFC should not be the driving factor. Those fans who X the man out because he managed our biggest rival just seem to miss the point. YES, Randy and the Board understand the feeliings of the Fans...we are neither deaf nor blind. At the same time, whether it would be this man or any other, we need to do what we think is right for the Club. NO action is taken without HUGE input from many knowledgeable people. Honest to goodness, if a single man can cause all the fans to abandon ship, that is a sad state of affairs. What you are basically saying is, "Randy, let us pick the Manager...we know more than you, those who are advising you, those who are in the game and know the individuals, those who make a living recommending managers and players, etc. etc" Sorry, that just doesn't seem right to me. Again, I am not confirming the rumor...just simply stating my feelings...as a FAN!!!!!!!!" CAUTION post from an "alleged" General Krulak FB page (there are 2, you can only "Like" one of them. The other I assumed was a fake. The alleged post on the alleged page has now been removed? Surely the actual General would stand by what he has written. Doesn't seem the type to back down does he? I called it last night and I'll call it again. The above post is bullshit.
  5. So what do we actually KNOW? 1. We have a vacancy 2. We have contacted several clubs and potential candidates about said vacancy 3. One potential candidate declined to be interviewed. 4. RL is in Corsica. 5. AM is believed to be in Sardinia 6. DM is in the Caribbean. 7. There was an FB post allegedly from the General (although noone can link to it) that implied that AM is being considered. 8. The media know most of the above 9. Birmingham is in uproar Is that about it. Not really much to get upset about when you look at it like that.
  6. indeed. and also what better way to deflect attention away from the real reason he left (which is because you have no money and you are selling the best players without his say) by blaming your local rivals. there is no proof at all randy went to meet mcleish before he resigned. from our VT planespotter we have heard the plane when to corsica, but did not stay, it came straight back suggesting it was dropping someone off (GH to his holiday home perhaps?). Certainly doesn't sound like it was there long enough for a meeting. and given how villa have acted for the whole of the manager search, i cant see them suddenly doing things illegally. sounds like Pannu and the other clowns at blues are panicking about their image to the blues fans and have gone making accusations to villa based on paper talk. giving it the "we will not be bullied, we want compensation" in a desperate attempt to sound like they are in control of things. Villa have just sent back a simple "whatever, he resigned so we can talk to him if we wish". oh, and in typical classless blues style it seems they have leaked that response to the press in another desperate attempt to make villa the bad guys. THIS.
  7. Why on earth would BCFC do that? Because they might hope to build a case of "tapping-up" and gain up to £5m from it AND smokescreen/diversion tactic number 2 below. I suspect there are two smokescreens/diversion tactics going on thus: 1. Villa see no need to confirm or deny interest in McLeish enabling them to progress with their candidates in secrecy (which may or may not include McLeish), whilst the media lap up the McLeish backlash; the General plays a clever role. 2. Pannu throws accusations out to the media fuelling the commotion and disguising the real reason McLeish resigned - BCFC key players agents contacting McLeish on holiday to tell him Pannu has put them up for sale without McLeish’s knowledge. Simples! :winkold: . By Paul McGrath I hope you are right......
  8. Awful. I believe the locals called it "anti-fitba" or words to that effect.
  9. When we appoint Carlo Ancelotti, demand will be immense - another superb piece of strategy from the club. :bonk:
  10. Could it be that this is just Randy's way of rubbing more salt into the Small Heath wounds. Yep, we'll get your manager to resign, discuss compensation with you, and the reject him anyway, and smugly watch the mess from a safe distance.
  11. I'm not an ST holder because I live in Kent and its just not practical. However, I am genuinely interested in why you would consider NOT supporting the club both financially and in person. Say for example we appoint McLeish, and we win our first 6 games and are in CL contention by Xmas. Will you come back? Would you then leap on the bandwagon and support the club again. It doens't matter who is in the Manager's Officer, or who pulls that beautiful shirt on. You are (apparently) a Villa fan. And a bloody priviliged one at that in that you are able to take yourself onto that hallowed ground once fortnight. If you love this club, support it. Regardless of the difficulties we experience on the way. People who dont go to the games, because they cant always say 'its a privilege' ...its not a privilege to drive up the Hagley Road, which can take an hour on a Wednesday night and have the privilege to watch a bunch of tossers lose to sunderland in -5 sleet. (NB I have renewed two season tickets.) Well granted its not the nicest part of the world...... still would rather do it regularly than not.

That green and black marvel. It is all Mrs E is allowed to wear around the house. That and nothing else.
  13. link How come Bilbao are going after bigger fish than us??? I've not read the article because I knew the game as soon as saw "The Presidential Election" They get this at every Spanish team when they need a new President. "Vote for me and I will sign xxxxx for £shitloadsmorethanhe'sworth" Take a breath, and relax. (MODS - ANY CHANCE OF A "CHILL THE **** OUT" TYPE SMILEY?)

  16. Being undermined by your employers to such an extent that you feel you have little choice but to resign. Can't see that this applies in McLeish's case.
  17. This has crossed my mind to be honest as I was told (i hate saying this but) by a someone with links that we had been given permission by Bolton to speak to Coyle, I laughed it off at the time but if the rumours are true that we approached several clubs? Top flight firms do this all the time. People are generally unemployed for a reason. So when you want/need a new CEO or whatever you have people cast the net and see who is available and who is interested. Personally as much as it upsets our more emotional friends on here, I feel this is excellent practise. Maybe I'm delusional but I know it won't be McLeish - and I think that we will have our man tomorrow.
  18. I'm fairly sure that this is a superb piece of the club managing expectations. Make us miserable - and we'll be greatful when appoint someone else!! :bonk:
  19. Please be number 2, please be number 2.
  20. Thats exactly what you DO do. I think its called "shortlisting" You interview/contact a range of potential candidates and see what comes out. It doesn't hurt to chuck in a couple of wild cards either. I'm not worried. It won't be McLeish. We paid MON off, we've paid off GH this season, there is no way by the Power of Greyskull AND Paul McGrath that we will pay off Small Heath for appointing AM. 8) Relax people. Breathe.
  21. We're not a flipping Bolton.. This club should be in the shadow of no one.. We're the top dogs in the UK's 2nd largest city!! If it does turn out to be McCleish then I'll support him I suppose but no way am I travelling 180 miles to watch dross week in week out. Like I said it's not so much where he came from it's the style of football his last PL team played that totally uninspires me. I totally agree - we're not. BUT we could/would be if we appoint McLeish. He'd have a massive mountain to climb if he came - but if he was able to string results together the quality of football would soon be forgotten...... after all MON didn't exactly play "the beautiful game" did he?
  22. Finally some sense, from someone.
  23. I don't think I've given an opinion on McLeish one way or another - so now I will I believe McLeish would do an ok job at Villa - better players more money etc. I also believe that we would be a solid mid table team. Nothing more. Guaranteed PL places year in year out but neither challenging or relegated. We would be Bolton. I don't want this football club to be Bolton. I want this club to be where I believe it belongs towards the top of the league. There are more exciting, inspiring choices available, I'll support who ever gets the job, because I support this club. But McLeish won't inspire me.
  24. I'm still yet to see an actual link or screen shot to FB. Not some other forum, the actual post on Krulaks FB page. Until I do, I will not believe this is anything other than a total wind up. . There is no way on this earth we will appoint McLeish. **inserts head in sand**
  25. Ladies and gentlemen we have a WINNER!!! The prize for the most ungrateful, pig-**** ignorant, over the top, factually bereft reaction goes to..... C V Byrne. The prize? A season ticket at another club of your choice. My treat. We don't need idiots like you near this football club. **** off newbie. Loads of you new **** crawling about the place these days. So the basis of your arguement appears to be, "I have posted on this website more than you (regardless of the fact that 5999 of my posts have been me pulling the Pope's cap off myself into oblivion over the latest mobile phone) I therefore am more informed on club matters than you." Ok. Remember Bodymoor Heath, the free coaches, free flags, mosaic, refurbished Hotle Suite, Acrorns sponsorship etc. **** me. Randy really has been a shit owner hasn't he. :bonk: I'll go halves with you on that ticket Eames! I've seen some silly post on here this last week or so, but this has to be the worst. What a complete and utter Prick of the highest standing! Oh and Eames, you forgot to mention the endless amount of money that he has given for players... Can anyone give me one example of something bad that Randy has done for this club? and i don't mean little things like the kit stuff up last season, whilst it upset a few it didn't have any major effect on the club in a bad way! cheers. its nice to know there is some common sense still loose on VT.
