    Heard a whisper from an agent (not the player's) that this lad might be under consideration. Although he stressed it was when he was out of contract, rather than in this window. Not a story at this stage but an interesting nugget nonetheless.

    Confirmed by a source in Norway and I knew the game was up when it was stood up by someone at Villa. As a rule, football clubs don't tend to like to put official lines out about this kind of thing. Molde may well do something but it will be along the lines of OGS putting everything in the past etc.

    In other news.... Domingos Paciencia applied for the job but seems Villa told him a polite 'thanks, but no thanks' and it went no further than that.

    Actually, I returned a call to Gordon Stretch who is a plane spotter at Birmingham airport. I befriended him while I was down there hoping to catch a glimpse of OGS last week and he promised to keep me in the loop on the movements of Lerner's jet.

    He just gets told what they want to tell him just like the other official gossips They clearly don't want any official gossiping on this issue right now If anything, I probably err too much on the side of caution with the information I get rather than just stick it out there.

    Like the majority on here I'm positively desperate for Ole...It would also generate a massive wave of optimism throughout the club. Certainly, I've seen how the fans are massively behind this appointment and communicated to Villa what a popular choice this would be.
