    • when teams have a sniff, that we are not on it......by not pressing, not being first to the ball or not challenging......that's when their confidence grows, and we have seen in so many times, where we have literally invited  team back in to the game. We can blame the keeper all we like, probably because Emi has bailed us out so many times........the issue is in midfield. We simply don't have enough players in the squad, who can hold a 2-0 lead......players who can contain, and nullify, ours are inconsistent.....and every one of them has an attacking bias.....without Kamara, the only defenders we have are in the back four. We are crying out for another holding midfielder.
    • Ok. Now list all the players injured not including Tielemans and Emi going off during the game. JFC
    • I'm fed up of not being able to be a responsible adult and to teach my lad the same, all cos of some idiots wanting to throw things on the pitch or have a fight cos they're pissed.
    • The water they sell has the lid attached so I don’t know if that’s just hearsay. See people brining flasks in the ground frequently as well. Capless or not for the money we pay we should have clean drinking stations. Especially when they are prone to selling out and not being able to supply any at all.
    • Well it's the reverse point you are making - what do people do about the current situation? Say nothing but disagree strongly, and avoid those traps you describe, or take action? The only action I take is to hurl Israeli radishes out of reach in Asda, not in an antisemitic rage but because our own government refuses to sanction them for some appaling recent behaviour. The US students obviously go stronger and possibly have jeopardised their futures. Why does anybody care? Well that's for each of us to choose.
    • Pretty sure Man City drew with Brighton and lost to Brentford last season when they had nothing to play for.
    • Oh, in that case I'm sure they'll put in water refill points
    • UCL is the promised land, without a doubt. Of course qualifying once and then never again is not the magic bullet, as Newcastle is an example of. UCL provides massive prize money, more exposure that provides more lucrative sponsorship deals, more worldwide fans that increases merchandise sales. All that resulting in more revenue for the club, that if invested wisely can result in better players and improved results. If we qualify for UCL this year, it is the first small step towards a better future for the club. The next step would be to qualify for UCL next season too, and then the season after that and so on. If we do that we will at some point have the revenue and squad capable of chasing titles.
