Just heard on a podcast that we’ve played 53 games so far this season. By contrast, Spurs have played 37 games. Not sure if those numbers are accurate but it’s incredible with all our squad injuries that we’ve managed to maintain fourth place for the majority of the season. Truly impressive. We’re going to be a very attractive proposition for potential incoming players if we secure a Champions League spot.

It’s funny how Emery mentioned about being part of the big eight this season and looking at the table today those eight teams are there. It’s a tough league and fighting for a European place even tougher. A big team is going to miss out on Europe every year. To be in fourth position is incredible.

Under normal circumstances I would be reasonably confident of us turning this tie around but watching us yesterday, we appear so mentally and physically fatigued. I just don’t know now? Score first then maybe. Just unsure if we have the energy for this fight?

This is very true and their fans don’t like him at all, along with Soucek. I stumbled across their Claret and Booze podcast earlier this season when we were about to play them at home and still watch occasionally when bored. They absolutely despise Moyes and most of the team to be honest. They desperately want Almiron in.
