Big_John_10
The wages we paid when we were finishing 6th were the 6th highest in the league, funnily enough. Don't be silly. MON should have easily taken a team that just survived into the top 4. I mean its not like manchester united, chelsea, arsenal and liverpool could all sign better players than us. And its not like spurs consistently spent money to improve and that little club man city didn't really spend much. And we all know getting champions league football once would have solved all our problems.
Richard
Maybe it would have solved our problems though John. Just maybe Lerner could have left then job done.
Big_John_10
Actually didn't think of that. He could have had his press conference on a huge ship with a big mission accomplished banner hanging up. And then left us to be a proper football club again. Actually considering his decsion making skills would you trust him to sell to the right man?

paulfromsutton
If you add sales to this it would be interesting. I'd like to see how much our billionaire owners has actually spent net. Lets forget about wages for the time being. 12m a year avaraged out over all his seasons
Big_John_10
When talking about how much he spent let's not forget how cheap he actually managed to buy a premiership team for. Just over £40 million is an absolute steal.
