Wow, I had no idea that Darlo were on the brink of bankruptcy. They have been part of the football scene for ever and it will be a loss to the North East if they go under - although atm it very much looks as if they will.

terrible to hear, has been all downhill since George Reynolds took over. They have a really good stadium as well but never going to fill it.

I think what struck me about the guy's original post on the Darlo site is that there's no blame, no hatred, nothing, just pure devastation at the imminent loss of his club yet wanting to go out and get behind them one last time; a lot of fans all across the leagues could learn a lot

Saw this on a mate's Facebook, really good read.

Just think, no matter how bad things are, or are perceived to be for us at the moment, at least we still have a club that's not about to possibly play it's last game ever.

Not if you believe some Villa fans we're at that same point! ;)

You're more boring than a book written in Russian.

Put it on my Facebook too. That really is an amazing post. I knew Darlington were in trouble but I had no idea they were in danger of going this season. It's sad that one week of a PL player's wages could save the entire football club. 143 years of history. Very sad indeed.

Hoping they'll beat Barrow and go out on a high.
