Just seen that Kirsty Hanson provided more assists in the WSL in 2023 than any other player, that's despite having only one assist in the league this season. We need to get her back in the form she showed second half of last season.

Although probably worth remembering although we're nearly halfway through the season, that's only ten games, and Hanson has only played seven of those games, so it's not like she's been out of form in an attacking sense for an extended period, and I say in an attacking sense, as she's always works hard, and is good at the defensive side.

I've seen a few harsh words about Dali, I think that's unfair, she wasn't good against Everton, but other than that has been good since returning and was getting better, hopefully Everton game was just a blip, I saw a stat that despite missing half the season in the WSL so far, she's created more chances than any other player, I think that's been another problem for us we haven't been taking our chances as well this season, even Daly has been missing chances that last season she would have scored, although I'm loath to say anything negative about her, as she's still excellent for us.

Who has been badmouthing my Kenza?! 😤

Just a few comments I've seen on twitter, to be honest I think there's been a slight overreaction to the Everton game, of course that was a woeful display, and it's been a disappointing season overall, but previous to that things were starting to look better, now they just have to find some consistency

Leicester haven't won in the league since the second game of the season, Bristol City and Everton are the the only two teams they've beat, but also Man City and Arsenal are the only two teams to have beat them at their ground. If we play well, like we did against Brighton in the last league game, we shoud win, but with our at best up and down form that's a big if.

Good half. Comfortably the better side though apart from the Lehmann opportunity haven't created many clear cut chances since the goal.

Get the second and this game is done but the longer it goes on as is you don't really know with this Villa side.

Not great, but a wins a win- felt like we tried our hardest to let them back in, hopefully get some momentum back. That being said we missed 3 top chances.

Laura B really good, Leon, Daphene and Patten also good.  Thought Dali was poor, need her back to last years standard and Corsie looked dead on her feet second half.

I'm confused, that was a good performance, possibly the best of the season, that was more like the Villa women from last season, we could have and probably should easily have been three or four up before the nervy ending, but it wasn't bad finishing from us, their keeper Leitzig made some really good saves, against most other keepers those Lehmann and Leon efforts would have been goals, I thought our not getting a second  was going to cost us because with the intensity we were playing at we were always going to tire towards the end and let them have chances, so ideally needed another whilst we were on top, luckily one was enough.

Would have been a travesty if we didn't win, up until the final ten minutes or so we were completey dominant, they were always going to throw everything at us towards the end, and we were always going to be tired at that point because of the effort put in.

I thought Blindkilde was excellent, she seems to be stronger now, not so easy to knock off the ball, was also Impressed with Patten and Van Domselaar, Patten is one of the few that's been very good all season, I actually wouldn't be surprised to see her get an England call-up, other than a few sloppy moments from Dali I thought everyone was pretty good, just a shame we couldn't get that second to avoid the nervous ending.

Four wins from six in the league now, two cleansheets in a row, a shame it's Man Utd away next, but other than that we've got some games coming up from which we can get some positive results

After the game today Carla was asked about lack of clinical edge in the final third, and she said we've just brought in someone to help with that, I'm presuming  she means a specialist goal scoring coach, I did notice a guy in the pictures from training in the week that I didn't recognize, maybe that was the new coach, hopefully makes a difference. To be fair I thought we were actually quite unlucky in front of goal today, Leitzig made some top saves as she does most games, she will probably end up at a 'top four club' or one of the top teams in Europe before long

Only Arsenal and Chelsea have taken more points than us from the last six WSL games, although hopefully that changes Sunday, as Man City will be doing us a favor if they can beat Liverpool, West Ham beating Spurs, and Arsenal beating Everton would also be good

We had less shots than them (13-15) with both having 6 on target - that’s with us controlling most of ball (56% possession doesn’t paint the same picture).  As big chances go, both ours were great chances (Lehman and Leon) and although the keeper made good saves finishing was poor for both - other than that we huffed and puffed but generally final third ball was poor.

They stayed in the game and really should have done better with their 4 big chances, DVD was good in those situations, but we can’t afford (if we don’t create ourselves) to give away that many clear cuts.

Overall it’s hopefully a building block, we seemed drained of confidence - which is strange, noticed a few things yesterday with body language and interactions with players that just wasn’t their last season.

The finishing wasn't poor, those shots from Lehmann and Leon nine times out of ten and against most teams in the league would have been goals, their keeper as she so often does just made two very good saves, we also came close on several other occassions, Maritz and Leon narrowly missed efforts at goal.

Most of Leicesters chances came when we tired towards the end which we were always going to with the amount of effort we had put in, we were the team that dominated most of the match, and if not for Leitzig's performance the  game would have been dead and buried before Leicester's late flurry

Not getting that second goal nearly cost us, but us not getting it wasn't due to poor play from us, we could have done better in certain situations, but it was mostly down to their keeper, at times good defending from them, and in a few moments we were unlucky.

It was a good performance all round, scored when we needed to, were unlucky not to score more, and then when we needed to, we stopped them from scoring, yes we gave a way some chances, but all teams in the WSL do that, that's when we need the defenders and keeper to do their job which they did do, defence did their job by keeping a cleansheet and attack did their job by scoring the goal that won us the game

If we play like that for the rest of season and put in the same effort, then we will have a mucb better second half to the season

Also there's nothing wrong with team spirit, I watch Pacheco's vlogs, and from those you can see they all get along very well
