Taking my 7 year old son to this, it's his first ever Villa game. All last season he was asking me to take him but I put him off due to the shit we were serving up, I want him to see a good game and lots of villa goals for his first time - not going to happen is it!?

each class starts with 2 or 3 guns at least? It don't take long to unlock loads more anyway. You have to give this game time if you're new to bf, before long you will be charging through those trenches bayoneting people through the neck like a pro

Run and gun and you will get **** up. Stay in cover, work with your squad and team, move together, keep chucking out medic/ammo packs. Helping your team and taking objectives will earn you the most points, kill/deaths is not so important. Operations is the best game but that's a matter of opinion of course. Enjoy and give it time, everyone finds bf difficult to begin with.

The planes work differently in bf1, you get an option to spawn in them from the spawn screen (if that's what its called?) and they are already flying, so none of that having 5 or 6 people all hanging around for planes any more. The campaign will only get you used to the controls, it wont prepare you for the intensity of the multiplayer battles. If I were you I'd just dive straight into multiplayer, it is going to be a massive learning curve anyway having done the campaign or not. I am no where near maxed out, I only get to play 2 or 3 times per week for a couple of hours at a time. Currently at rank 28 I think. Add me on ps4 if you like, I play evenings after 8:30pm ish. You are thinking about it wrong to be honest with you. Its not run and gun team death match. Killing the enemy is only one part of a much bigger objective, everyone has a job to do be it medic, support, assault or scout. You earn most points from working together, helping your team and taking objectives. The fact that some 16year old can react slightly quicker than you is irrelevant. Stay in cover and work towards that objective bit by bit, moving up with your squad around you.

The bf games have always been about multiplayer. Go online mate if you want to experience the full force of this game

got some of my best scores yet using medic class and the semi auto rifle that comes standard with it. You can turn it into a grenade launcher too!

I've not really used medic, I like semi auto rifles though, used them a lot in bf4 with infer red scopes. I did give support another go last night but found myself going back to scout after 20 mins or so. I'm going to use medic tonight.

rush was all I played on bf4, I didn't see any servers over 20 people on rush bf1, is that still the case?

I am also finding the sniper class to be most effective but not from distance, right In the thick of things. I purchased that Russian gun but soon reverted back to the one you start with as I am sure it packs more punch. Those "K bullets" also come in handy. Going to give support class a good run tonight though.

Was playing ballroom blitz on operations last night, some guy came out from behind cover on fire, I put him out his misery with a sniper bullet and it passed through him and took his buddy behind him out as well. Very Satisfied!

compete opposite for me, I've not been this keen on a game in a long time. The intensity of the battles in operations mode is insane

currently level 5 so a few more sessions to get to 10 yet! how come most of the squads end up locked? Does it auto lock squads who are all in the same party?

So far support is my fav followed by scout. I've not used any war bonds yet, will start dabbling with them tonight.

I've been on multiplayer for a few hrs tonight, operations is immense, actually felt like I was in those trenches!

hardcore mode needs to be made available asap, that's my only gripe so far.

played 30mins of campaign but single player really doesn't do it for me so got bored. Hopefully we can all have a game tomorrow night
