  1. I don't envy you. You should have a look at the Saddam thread in Off Topic.
  2. The guy has a point. His point is to stop haranguing him about players. Let's just see what happens. The important thing is that our boss has the support from the top and we are all hugely grateful for that fact.
  3. Richardson would def be available HQ, and I have been suggesting him for a while. He could turn into a very decent player but if he didn't start every game then he couldn't complain. It's all about options and Richardson would certainly be someone I'd be looking at if I were MON.
  4. Relax! Chill out. I often pee sitting down. Depends on my mood. I'll go 25-50.
  5. Fantastic. Welcome General. Thankyou for this time and commitment to communicating with the fans. As you can see - it means a hell of a lot to all of us. This is such a positive change from what we're all used to. Thankyou again - we have waited so long for a change but I think I speak for everyone when I say that this has been better than any of us expected.
  6. The music guys. They have irreperably altered popular music into 'make a quick profit' cack. MTV has then extrapalated. The majority of young people now (especially girls) miss out on genuine music altogether. Those that don't have to search and specialise their music tastes. it's appalling. Andrew Lloyd Webber is also an absolute joke. Guy Ritchie's films have a time and a place. As long as you don't try and take them as serious pieces of art then they are harmless, and actually, fun. A similar thing can be said about Danny Dyer's acting.
  7. Huntelaar is nowhere near the standard Van Nistelrooy was when United bought him. I'm not convinced he has Van Nistelrooy's potential either but it's too early to say. He's certainly a good player. I honestly believe he would be a realistic signing and wouldn't cost anywhere near as much as Van Nistelrooy did, perhaps that is incorrect but it's what i think. And I don't see how anyone can say Huntelaar is unrealistic and then moot Klose as a potential signing. Farfan would be a good signing but not to answer our striking problems. We need an all round striker who's good in the air. We already have Luke, Gabby and Baros for pace options.
  8. I think Volz is a good player, Rocafella, excuse me for my opinion. And Huntelaar is nowhere near as proven as you appear to be making out.
  9. - SWP may not be available. But he might. He isn't playing regularly and at some he's going to say 'enough is enough'. Cole and Robben can both play on either flank - particularly Cole is not impartial to a bit of right wing action [awaits Thatcher jokes] and Kalou can also play there. And at the moment, they're not even playing a formation that requires the wingers. - Barry fits into the first team whoever we bring in. I'm not suggesting we sign ALL of those players but I think they are the positions that need to be addressed. Just because a player is brought in doesn't mean he'll walk straight into the first 11. - I don't think Huntelaar holds anything near the value of £18-20million. OK perhaps £7-8 million is a little optimistic but he I doubt he'd cost more than £12million.
  10. But we don't need another centre half Rich and it would be (IMO) detremental to Cahill's progress. I'm going to suggest some realistic signings because it's fun. LB - Bridge (£5-6million) or Chiellini (£4-5million) or Baines (£5-6million) RB - Young (£5-6million) or Volz (£4-5million) LM - Richardson (£4-5million) or Boa Morte (£5-6million) RM - Milner (£4-5million) or SWP (£8-10million) ST - Huntelaar (£7-8million) or Ashton (£10-12million)
  11. Sorry Patrick, just read this. For me I would rather have an experienced player who has played in europe and won things as a back up defender than a young kid who isn't ready for it yet and needs to be brought through gradually. If Cahill is good enough he'll get his chance as I trust MON to decide that. A back up defender wont get in his way but provide healthy competition I disagree, I think the healthy competition is already there. I think he is ready to play games as well. He can see that if he works hard a first team opportunity will come his way. I don't think a new centre half is neccesary, and certainly not Balde. If Laursen does his knee over again then that would be different, but even still Bobo Balde would be under no circumstances the answer.
  12. Sure, but the chances of that happening are remote at best. We have Laursen, Ridgewell, Mellberg, Hughes, Bouma, Delaney, even Sutton who can play at centre-half. To add Balde to that list wouldn't help anybody. Cahill needs t play, not to be over-used Richard, obviously but he has to play and we have no present need for another centre-back.
  13. What does that mean? He needs to play so that he can mature into the player that many believe he can become. We certainly don't need has-beens like Balde standing in his path. Totally counter-productive.
  14. FWIW I think we need a LB, a RB, a LM, a RM and a ST. I don't expect all of them in January by any means but that is where i think we need strengthening.
  15. i think Ashton is certainly realistic, West ham have six first team strikers after all and they might decide to cash in. Depends if they get sold I guess.
  16. Yeah I agree Tom. To be honest I just find their new stuff a bit boring. Roots for me as well, but I'm suprised Chaos A.D. doesn't have more votes. Who's the nutter that's gone for their first album?
  17. 'Why start a thread about Sepultura?' I hear you cry. Well... Hell, why not!? After all Max and Igor have finally reconciled after almost 10 years of animosity. There's talk of a reunion tour. How awesome would that be!! Anyone like the new stuff with Derrick Green? Just anything really. Oh and a poll. Feel free to register your vote.
