FA Cup matches aren't EXTRA games (apart from any potential replays) they are part of the football calendar not added in midweek causing fixture congestion. It's a truly dire excuse when you can't play say 6 maximum extra matches on top of the 38 in the league when you have the same size squad as every other side in the league (25 plus kids) What's the point in bothering entering anything ? There's no point trying to get back into Europe obviously. Who'd want the burden of those ENDLESS extra matches ?. Not Lambert that's for sure. To sum up, if what we've witnessed thus far is him only concentrating on the league ... then god help us. Prepared my arse.

well Lambert will have to be more tactically astute then. we still have 3 strikers in Benteke, Gabby and Weimann. Plus Bowery and Helenius its not like we're in dire straits with no options. it just requires the manager to find a system to suit what we have, eg NOT 4-3-3

No he is about six-foot and physically capable too. He has matured as a player since leaving England. He's 5'10" Joined Hamburg in 2011 and has only made 37 appearances apparently. Not sure why they'd let him go out on loan if he's been pulling up any trees for them ?

I just can't see what he adds apart from a salary and a bum on the bench. He's no great player, and his experience isn't leader based which is what we need I'm not sure why any of our players would look up to him for any sort of guidance considering the low key career path he's had since initially being highly thought of
