  1. Surely he was told he HAD to sell them, because he certainly didn't get the 38m we banked from their sales to replace them Give the bloke some credit, he got shafted by Randy there pure and simple
  2. Even after said manager had given them a reason to play half arsed having said he wasn't interested in the cup himself ? Erm, not buying that one. A managers job is to field a team, and to have them tactically prepared. He got one right
  3. This is a good point. Because ... HE DOESN'T DO TACTICS. You are so right it's laughingly bad. Basic, junior level coaching/tactics I'd almost wager he didn't bother going through Sheff United's strengths/weaknesses with the side at all. It would've all been about us and our crap predictable hoofball.
  4. If that's a reason to keep a manager, then it just shows how **** awful he must be to my mind. Cheers
  5. There's FAR more to the problem than shots on target. The commentator said on numerous occasions we had lots of the ball but couldn't do anything with it
  6. We almost deserve to go down with 'fans' like you. How is the guy who supports the manager (and clearly the team) not a fan? Fans have a right to complain, but if they don't exercise it then they're not real fans? That's a new one to me. True, because any 'fan' saying is quite CLEARLY a Villa supporter
  7. Did we play poorly?, Did you not listen to it ? Obviously I wouldn't have asked the question if I did would I? Jesus.... to be honest i'd have thought the answer was **** obvious. jesus indeed we've just been knocked out the cup by a team 18th in DivisIon THREE
  8. Did we play poorly?, Did you not listen to it ?
  9. DEAR LAMBERK. PLEASE F*CK OFF NOW And take your useless staff and squad fodder with you
  10. Sounds like the kind of performance you'd expect from a team who's manager has basically given them an excuse to lose
  11. I agree, we certainly don't need another striker.
  12. Damn, good point. That helped us greatly last year against Bradford and Millwall.
  13. FA Cup matches aren't EXTRA games (apart from any potential replays) they are part of the football calendar not added in midweek causing fixture congestion. It's a truly dire excuse when you can't play say 6 maximum extra matches on top of the 38 in the league when you have the same size squad as every other side in the league (25 plus kids) What's the point in bothering entering anything ? There's no point trying to get back into Europe obviously. Who'd want the burden of those ENDLESS extra matches ?. Not Lambert that's for sure. To sum up, if what we've witnessed thus far is him only concentrating on the league ... then god help us. Prepared my arse.
  14. shame he's not a creative midfielder or defender
  15. Yes I have, and i still think he's a tool. And if we field a purposefully weak side tomorrow (and i'm not talking about Vlaar who's carrying a knock obviously) then i'd fire his useless arse
  16. Oh yeah, I remember all that 'wait a few years and we'll be well placed to take advantage' bollocks from the Ellis era BREAD TODAY, JAM TOMORROW
  17. Wigan or Blues didn't lose their premier league status because of 'cup runs' They lost it because over the course of a full season neither were good enough to stay up Villa should be **** ashamed of Lambert's bullshit, it might explain going out of both cups to minnows last season too mind. The **** clown
  18. If Lambert had no knowledge and it is someone in his staff or team. Then i expect heads will roll Lambert wasn't very happy when Luna announced he was injured and would miss a game via Twitter not that long back. Neither were the opposition apparently
  19. Martin Swain has written a piece about Hairy Hands in tonight's Express & Star, it seems the local press have also been wondering who he is and suggests they have their suspicions (which basically means it's someone in the playing camp or more likely the staff)
  20. well Lambert will have to be more tactically astute then. we still have 3 strikers in Benteke, Gabby and Weimann. Plus Bowery and Helenius its not like we're in dire straits with no options. it just requires the manager to find a system to suit what we have, eg NOT 4-3-3
  21. I said this, as I noticed when CB wasn't playing we were attempting to whip them in. But in the game it needs variation. To be honest I never noticed this. IMO it was the same floaters from Westwood and you will see in the Westwood thread most people thought the same. Agreed, i saw absolutely no change in our woeful set piece routines whilst Benteke was out the side
  22. No he is about six-foot and physically capable too. He has matured as a player since leaving England. He's 5'10" Joined Hamburg in 2011 and has only made 37 appearances apparently. Not sure why they'd let him go out on loan if he's been pulling up any trees for them ?
  23. I just can't see what he adds apart from a salary and a bum on the bench. He's no great player, and his experience isn't leader based which is what we need I'm not sure why any of our players would look up to him for any sort of guidance considering the low key career path he's had since initially being highly thought of
  24. Rest easy, there isn't another team that would pay Delph his current salary. He's that talked up into something he isn't by some of our supporters, that it's genuinely head scratching
