  1. Hmm. So Makoun tired in the first half and Petrov tired in the second half but you're saying it's Petrov who tires early? Sorry, i could of worded it better. They all tired in that withering heat, on both sides. Petrov was shattered. But the facts of the game were there if you watched. We played some really nice stuff, with Makoun at the centre of it. We really need him doing that all the time, and not having to help cover a tired Petrov or whomever. I guess he needs a minder
  2. General, you stated on here that Randy has always and will always back his manager. Could you please explain to us then, as to why your manager has stated that he needs to sell to enable him to bring in anyone else? Also, if your manager is telling you whats needed to enable us to have a good chance of finishing around sixth, then why are you not listening to his profesional opinion? What message do you think, that tells him? And another thing. You stated that on the eveidence that you have seen, we will suprise a lot of people this season, and push for fourth. Can i ask you, just how you have seen this evidence when you are stuck on the other side of the pond? Are you relying on reports from Faulkner, a man whm has no Football experience, and whom on his own admittance says he knows very little about the game? When will you and Randy be back in the UK, and for how long?
  3. Did ok, but started to tire during the last part of the 1st half, but he was not alone in that! Once Petrov's legs went again during the second half, Makoun was forced to be more defensive to cover Stan, and we then missed his passing. We really need to get someone in whom can just sit there, and let people like Makoun to concentrate on the part of the game they are good at. It was pretty humid oput there, so not knocking anyone, but its been obvious for a while now, that Petrov tires fairly quickly.
  4. Beye is comfortable picking up his wages every week, Its a thing that he has been labelled with at other clubs. Shame really, because there is a pretty decent footballer in him somewhere, and its been wasted.
  5. True..... We do have Licaj and Beye as back up, and although he has his critics, i think the young American is a talent that just needs games to rebuild his confidence. Baker can play left back, but is a CB, and better at CB. Personally, i would be buying someone that can bite Warnocks heels, which would get the best out of Warnock whom seemed to be in the comfort zone last season. Bringing in a left back strengthens all of our options in Defense as a whole.
  6. Thing is, if people want someone other than Warnock at left back, but why the pre-occupation with a right back!!! Hutton would mean Young going to left back, yet Young is a better right back than Hutton! Hutton then becomes treated to the Warnock factor, and we will then proberly buy a left back to enable Young to return at Right Back.... And then it continues...... Heres an idea, why dont we just go out and buy a Bloody left back in the first place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Thats why the Manager will be doing something about it. If not by the start of the season, then definately by the close of the window.
  8. The worry is not Warnock, rather the lack of cover there. I prefer fullbacks in their right position, since you get a better performance level, which is better for the defence as a whole. All the swapping and changing last term, was the main reason our defense was shite.
  9. Im with you.... Left back is the worry.
  10. Ethrington can cover both left sided positions, so might be a better option? :?
  11. Depends when he flew out to Hong Kong. All the physios and medical team are out there, so it could be all done very quickly. I would bet, that this will be concluded within the next 12-24 hours. We must be confident over terms, since it appears Eck wants him integrated with the squad ASAP. I'm pretty sure there are still staff at Bodymoor who can do medical. The reserves and kids are still there presumably and they must have physios, and could always bring in a doc from outside the club if need be. Very true, but is Faulkner not with the team in Hong kong? Would be silly flying him back here from Dubai, then fly him all the way over to Hong Kong.

  13. Me too! Hes been a player ive hoped we would sign for ages!! And we will make a massive profit when we sell him to Liverpool next term
  14. When was the last time wages were a problem after having a fee agreed? I can't think of any examples during the Lerner era. Anybody? If his wages were going to be a problem, why bid to sign him? :?
  15. So your the fcuker filling my inbox with begging mail
  16. Thing is, it has not happened yet, so lets cross that bridge then. No point losing any sleep over what they are saying in Sunderland, since the real in the knows are saying this is still very much on. I would agree though, that we may be better off paying the asking price, because the player may start asking how seriously, we rate him. But i still say this is proberly all down to terms already, and its just a case of Whelan trying to get as much for him as he can, which is fair.
  17. Excellent question. I just dont see how anyone can do anything about something that "Might" or "might not" happen The only time we will know is on September the 1st. Then we will all know where we stand. And then we can tear each other to bits Hopefully 3 wins will take our mind off things. As somebody said above. we are second in the League behind Arsenal, with 38 games in hand

  19. Lesson Two: Occasionally, name your opponent in a made up group. Using speech marks will make the aforementioned group seem more realistic. To be fair Rob, some in the pro Lerner Camp have been just as aggressive with their viewpoints, just look back through the thread. I hate the name calling and the "im a better fan than you" innuendo. At the end of the day, its just someones viewpoint and just accept it as that. This bitching is becoming tedious, and the good points are being missed. We all support the same club, and its a sad sign of the difficult times we have had over the last 12 months. Half the problem is the notion that we hear nothing from the club, our leaders seem to go missing. I think we really need a strong statement from the top, just to steady the ship, because we are all just simply pissing in the wind, all of us.
  20. The news is from the same lad who called Bent's transfer to you. Plus quite a few more moves well before they hit the news media. Whats he saying then?
  21. Double post, due to a laptop with a death wish
  22. Reading between the lines of some of the posts on here, it seems there is a feeling that we are intentionally under bidding, so the player goes somewhere else. We then go for plan B, whom is relatively unproven but cheap, stating that we tried our hardest but the player did not want to know. Randy then pockets the difference.... Am i right that some of you are actually thinking this, which is why you are so doubting about this deal going through?
