He seems to have a bit of a track back, then decides he can't catch the player and stops and gives up. It's as if he thinks once the player gets near our box it's the defences responsibility and his job is done

This is pretty much how Man City started thier revolution .. I think it might have been Barry in the first wave of players they offered big contracts to.. The following year it was milner... Then they progressed from there, gradually increasing quality each time. Its easier to attract better players when some have already come. But at the end of the day you need the money to offer them - there's no getting away from that.

We just aren't going to play though their midfield. They could play foden on his own in midfield and they'd still dominate. Unfortunately we need to go a bit big sam. Davis and Watkins up front and foget the midfield. Thier defence really isn't the best

Yeah it's a bit suspect.. Also have you seen the website they created? It's like one of them knocked it up in a couple of hours whilst having a costa.. For a project worth 300 billion plus or whatever, that website is a pointer to something not being very serious... The words used in it also chosen to infuriate fans.. What was it.. 'the best clubs, the best players' etc.. It almost like they are leaving a clue that this was never the plan.. Who knows?

This was probably the idea all along. Massive smoke screen ,making everyone grateful because we now 'only' have a small change to Cl qualifying rather than a whole new league. They must be laughing thier b*llocks off. Give it a couple of years to become the norm, then the 'elite' team places get expanded, until they all qualify every year anyway. Then increase thier share of cash.. And what have you got? A European super league.

This is an interesting point in all this... What happens in year 2,3,4 when say arsenal and spurs do come in the bottom 2 every year ? Sure they still get the league cash - but reputation would be in tatters - top players wont want to play for them - no international support because they are crap - will they want to languish at the bottom of the league ? I reckon the plan would be for the founding 11/12 clubs to own a percentage of the league - then over the next few years they invite more and more clubs from around europe - so expanding the league to eventually 20 - then maybe even another division. In a few years they may have 2 divisions, with all the global TV contracts, with the original founding members owning most of it. Hideous.
