If that was 2 tackles that mings and konsa had made, that would have been a Penalty dead cert. No question. No var. Just a pen. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if they got 2 pens, one for each tackle. Then the following week the fa say that was a correct interpretation of the rules at the time, but it won't be allowed again..

So is the rule now you can take out a player however you like, as long as you touch the ball in some way? If so, we need to change the way we defend. We only need 1 defender - mings stands next to martinez all game, any opposition forward gets near the box mings sprints out and slide tackles him down.. He'll certainly touch the ball at some point, therefore never a pen

I don't think so. If you take the time to check I have never said this, probably ever. What I am saying is that we repeatedly see comments each week about how we've 'only played bad today', 'it's only one game'.. It's been 5-6 weeks of getting worse and worse, and on that period of games we would be relegated. If you want to ignore that and think we're doing great, that's up to you.

Because if we lose Jack, what we'll spend 100m on and this lot will be fighting relegation. You're not getting any 20m+ decent players coming to us.
