    In my opinion we have if you are looking at league position but in terms of performances I think we have gone backwards. I expected us to kick on after the last few months of last season, but we haven't at all.

    They didn't sell their best players but they did pick up tonnes of players from lower leagues around the world. I suggest you read this, educate yourself a bit before making ridiculous, condescending comments that you can't back up. Do you reckon they're all on YTS wages like our hopeless mob at the Villa? The majority of them would have been on very similar wages yes, obviously once they got to great players im sure a lot of them got bumped up. The only difference is most of the obscure players they got have turned out to be great. This then comes back to Lambert and the scouting team in place at VP.

    Lambert has come out and slated our defending as "conceding against a long ball is really disappointing". So if that's the case why does it seem to be our preferred method of attacking?

    Why can't you make a comment without antagonising people? It's clearly been stated that IT'S THE MINORITY that booed Bennett when he came on. Surely you agree that those SMALL PERCENTAGE OF FANS are a disgrace? But typically you'll make it out that people are moaning about the entire fan base. I know it's difficult to ascertain but were the fans booing Bennett or were they booing Lambert for, what seemed like, an odd substitution when we were 2-0 down at home to a shit team? I'm not advocating booing but Lambert deserves all the stick he gets because we should be performing better at Villa Park.

    And then? After the 'lift' wears off? We buy some great new players? No money. We rebuild on pennies? Oh wait.. You're right. Lambert is the best man for whatever job Lerner is asking a manager to do. Maybe after the "lift" wears off we actually become a competitive Premiership team. Nobody knows what a new manager would bring, but keeping the current one doesn't look like it will bring anything good right about now.
