  1. He was no worse than I was expecting. They're bringing over a couple of Brazilians for Ryan Rhodes and Denton Vassell next week. I suspect it could be the Tijuana tumblers V2.
  2. He's certainly one for the future. Him and Carl Frampton could have an interesting rivalry somewhere down the line. I thought it was rather strange that Witter was at ringside, I can't imagine he will ever get to fight a Hatton.
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MNou7HlKBw Ouch! I'm still curious as to why he threw a lead left hook with his right hand by his waist.... I suspect he regrets it now though. Because he has been using that goatee for a defence all his career. If it wasn't for that solid chin of his (although according to certain chin checkers he has a glass jaw now) it would have happened earlier. I feel sorry for any Williams fans that went to it, although there aren't many, the undercard was atrocious and they got to see their man iced in 2. You're going to think I'm a berk but I only ever saw Williams once before, I've not followed him that closely. I watched him beat Margarito (I think) and comparisons to Hearns were made which just turned me off him as he out-jabbed Margo for 8 rounds then suddenly gassed and got beat up for the last part of the fight and scraped a decision. Correct me if I'm wrong here because I was pretty pissed when I watched the fight but remember thinking "Tommy Hearns he **** ain't" at the end of it and I've not paid much attention since. I did notice that it seems that Martinez is also a southpaw and maybe that's why Williams thought it was OK to lead like that....dunno just seemed a strange shot to throw while leaving your chin hanging like that, reminded me of Lewis V McCall in a lot of ways. You're a berk. :winkold: Williams is an exciting fighter in how he loves to go to war but he is certainly no Tommy Hearns. He did the same in the first fight and was on the end of some big hooks, just none as big as that shot last night. He desperately needs to change trainer after last night. He needs someone who is going to get him using all of his physical advantages, maybe Manny Steward? I'm sure Manny would be up for that after he was claiming that Paul was controlling the fight and was doing everything right last night.

  5. Why was he counting Williams? Made my night that fight did.
  6. Come on, the concrete block is just pure comedy. I'd have pissed myself laughing if he'd have walked down to the ring to face pacquiao with giant comedy concrete hands. Should have got him a set of hulk hands, painted them grey and he could have walked out wearing them over his gloves. In a sport as dangerous as it is. I can't find any humour in someone putting plaster in their gloves. Less so against Mosley, but against fighters like Cotto it really pisses me off. Anyway... Good night of Boxing tonight Best prizefighter line-up yet on Sky from 8pm: Quarter-Final 1 – Choi Tseveenpurev v Ben Murphy Quarter-Final 2 – Gary McArthur v Derry Matthews Quarter Final 3 – Gary Sykes v Scott Lawton Quarter-Final 4 – Steve Bell v Gary Buckland And then the rematch of FOTY contender, Sergio Martinez vs Paul Williams on Premier Sports from 2am. Andy Murray fighting on RTE too, somewhere in between.
  7. Like I said, he's a word removed of the highest order. Link.
  8. He might be able to take a beating... but he's still a word removed of the highest order.
  9. There is no way Margarito deserved the shot, Pac didn't deserve the title either. But that's Boxing. 27th is a cracker, and this weekend isn't too bad either. I can't say I'm as disappointed as most about the Ward-Dirrell fight. I find both fighters boring tbh.
  10. No he doesn't. Haye is the bigger puncher. He does. Whether Haye has a bigger punch or not (and fwiw, I think Haye is a brutal puncher) doesnt affect the fact that Audley has the power to drop Haye if he connects with a clean left hander. I cant see it happening. I think Haye is a much better fighter than Audley. He is simply too quick, I dont think Haye will get hit with anything significant and I think he will come out of the blocks quickly and attempt the early knockout. He knows if he hurts Audley early then Audley might give up. For all his physical gifts, Audley lacks the mental strength to be at the top in boxing. He does, however, have a punchers chance of winning. I disagree. Audley does have the power to drop Haye but I think that is more to do with Haye's chin/balance than Audley. It doesn't mean Audley has a brutal left hand. Spot on with your second point. To win this fight, Audley Harrison needs to not be Audley Harrison. Manny Pacquiao 144.6, Antonio Margarito 150
  11. No he doesn't. Haye is the bigger puncher. I would agree with this (Btw like the avatar - "Lucius Sweet" in the Simpsons isnt it?) Yeah it is mate... good knowledge! One of my favourite episodes... has an immortal quote in it.. Dredrick Tatum: "I like Homer, he's a nice guy, but I'll make orphans of his kids. Promoter: Uhhh champ, he has a wife. Tatum: I would imagine she would die of grief.

  14. It's definitely worth a watch. As is Casey-Hyland.
  15. I hope you stuck with the bill after that because Marquez-Lopez was a cracker.
  16. I seriously thought this was going to be you showing off your gunz again.
  17. at half ten as well. Chisora knocks Sexton out in the 9th. Good performance. Enzo Mac knocked out in the 7th after controlling his fight against Frenkel. Brutal KO.
  18. Jennings stopped on a cut in the 5th round. I'd gave Brook all 4 rounds but still a bit of an anti-climax.
