It would seem that any sort of defending is just not on the schedule at training sessions and in the management thinking at aston villa, most teams build a solid back line and centre of the park and then think about the attack. The complete reverse happens with our set up so if the forwards do not perform at 100% we have nothing to build on and lets face it if benteki scored every chance he got he would not be at villa park. Even in the championship you see solid defences and well set up teams so money is not the major factor in the inconsistency we show, it is all down to football thinking within your management and coaches and the stlye of play they choose to adopt.

In Luna we bought a player with a major fault in full backs, lack of pace without the ability to be in the right position when needed, how our management team missed this and the coaches fell for it is unbelievable. Can they spot anything ?

What happened today was totally to do with poor organization,bad start to the week with the do we don't we want the fa cup and the lack of discipline throughout our club that gave the impression that no one cares for this game. We have players that think they are paul scholes but only tackle like him and very few that can play as a team and only for the team. Sheffield came and applied themselves as a unit, for their team and their club , Good luck to them, we are beyond that.

Thought benteke looked something like his old self today and did the job we know he can do. Was good to see gabby sweating at the end of a game and giving a display we have been waiting for, complete with a goal we all know is in his locker. Sunderland were poor in most departments and therefor we cannot get carried away with a game we need and should win.Looked like the wage structure had set in PL couldn't afford a jacket.

Now that teams know just to sit deep against us, it is the managers job to prove his worth and get this bunch of individuals to try and do the basics in the game. Most cannot trap or deal comfortably with a ball, all just resort to panic mode and hoof the ball straight to an opponent, who knows what is happening on the training ground because nothing improves and the same senseless fouls are seen time and time again only for us to be punished by a useless stoke side that should be put to the sword.The lack of discipline in the side is beyond belief and putting the team first is not even on the agenda, we all know most of these players are not premiership quality and are well out of there league, but just do the simple stuff well, cut out the naivety and grow up as a unit . The management and coaches are failing to stop the endless yellow cards for stupid tackles by reckless boys and bring some maturity to our play and therefore keep our small squad on the pitch longer. They are all Gumps and we are going nowhere.

I see this was the week for charitable deeds randys donation the hospital visits, rumour was that luna reckoned he was a left back pity they didn't keep him in the psychiatric ward and then we donate the match. Awful bunch of players that need to get a football for Christmas and try to learn what it is for, GUMPS the lot of them.

Most of our players looked like forest gump running across America, why ya running forest?. No brain's in there and no leadership, all everton had to do was let us run out of steam and put Osman on who changed the game with his clever runs and team play.Kick and rush will win some games but you have to take every chance with this approach. We are too predictable and easy to counter, the two goals yesterday proved that.

The major problem at the moment is the players are playing as individuals and not as a team. How many times did our mazy runs go one player to many when a simple pass was on, we need some brains in there to organise the better individuals and not give the ball away so easily. Spurs are a decent side but we made it a walk in the park by not doing the basics.
