  1. April 1976, in 10 days I will be 29 and one off the big 30
  2. Solano, the only one who really puts the effort in.
  3. Definitely, it has to be small heath scum special.
  4. If we can keep him, all well and good, Hitz is a squad player and no more than that. He can play in a couple of positions, and come on and change games, but that is all. As people have pointed out before he cannnot last 90 minutes. Soi I would say, keep him but only if he expects to spend time on the bench and have appearances for 2nd half of games only.
  5. You sure? http://www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/botched.html Nobody's perfect!
  6. If you want to use a humane method, nothing beats lethal injection. Its a concentrated solution of potassium chloride, and a single intravenous injection will induce ventricular fibrillation and cardiac arrest, basically a heart attack without all the pain. Potassium chloride is now a controlled drug, on the same lines as morphine, because if you inject someone with it, they will die and there is absoluteky no way of knowing, the post mortem will reveal nothing, and the coronaer will put it down to a cardiac arrest. No blood test will pick it up because when someone dies their cells all die and release potassium anyway  just in case someone has a vendetta against anyone The favourite used to be a massive injection of insulin, esp amongst health care professionals, but the insulin used by diabetics is detectable because its slighlty different to natural insulin.
  7. He will end up somewhere like Spurs. Jol the fat numpty seems to rate him. They can have him and we will have Robbie Keane, seems like a fair swop to me.
  8. Hitzy. But I doubt he will get any more.
  9. To the tune of 'I love you baby', 'we love you Djemba......'
  10. 4-5-1 doesn't work for us, we have nobody with pace to open up defences for JPA. unless Vass when fit plays just behind him? I've gone for 2, I was initially disappointed, but think he has potential. But then again I was disappointed with other signings we have had: McGrath, Southgate, Boateng, McCann to name a few and they all turned out heroes. Plus after what he said about the scum, he will fit right in!
  11. I said no, and I honestly thought we wouldn't. Nobby was very last minute. Interesting that Scum made an enquiry about Djemba x2 but fergie said he was unavailable??? he must think fistface is a clearing in the woods. I just hope he can settle into the side as opposed to Berson taking 6 months to do so and to be stuck in the reserves!
  12. In a word: No Mind you I was so suprised we signed Nobby last season I coughed on the coffee I was drinking and fell off my seat. I would love for that to happen again, but sadly no.
  13. Straight, played, into, hands, my This was all under Ellis. No? Obviously Ellis isn't as bad after all, as we achieved all this under his chairmanship. No, not played into your hands, I was talking about the successes we have enjoyed not so long ago, no mention of Ellis, just replying to your statement that we aren't a big club. You are a nose and everyone knows it, you are also Ellis' mate, two noses together, giving it the 'I am'.
  14. 1890, 1900 & 1910 weren't it? Get over it, we've never been a footballing giant, just the odd victories here & there. We are the most forgettable european champions in England & we're not considered a big club by the media. Apart from the successes mentioned above how about 2 league cups in the 90's? Prem League runners up in the first season of the PL? Top 4 finish under Little? Good runs in Europe? Regular victories over the likes of Liverplop and Manure? I won't mention where Cheslea used to be? We often had the biggest gates/attendances in the PL in its first few seasons. I suppose you don't consider Nott Forest a big club now? Forgotten by the media but a one-time European Giant, some would say a sleeping giant. Just because the majority of bluenoses don't think of us as a big club doesn't mean you have to join them, or maybe you are better off like that?
  15. They are an honest bunch of lads rather than stars.
  16. OK, heres my two-pennys worth. My old man is not a footie fan. At most he watches a few matches from the international tournaments (eg world cup). Recently (ie the past three years) he has become an admirer of Arsenal. He is adamant he is not an Arsenal fan, I doubt he name the whole squad (but he knows the main players). I took him to VP for his birthday a couple of years back to see Arse play (GT's reign and we drew), and he enjoyed it so much I get a ticket for him for the Arse every year, he is coming next week and I have had to relocate my seat elsewhere to where I usually sit. There is a guy at work from India who is a huge Manure fan, he has been in this country probably 3 years. He has followed manure in India since the early 90's. Never been to mold trafford, so i got him a ticket to the manure game and he loved it, admitting that is 100x better than watching a game on tv. Thats 2 examples, so its not all clear cut, and if you are coming to VP from abroad or even if you live a huge distance away in this country, would you rather spend money on travel etc to see Dean Ashton make his Norwich debut or Thierry Henry?
  17. David James made more than a few mistakes.
  18. Yes, lets shoot Tommy at dawn. After all, he only won player of the season 2 years running at Sunderland? While we are at it lets target these players too: 1) Angel for not scoring 2) Delaney for getting injured 3) Laursen for getting injured 4) Hendrie for being a Chav 5) Jlloyd for not being a good left back. 6) Nobby for being absent when we play away. Thats how ridiculous this witch hunt against Tommy is. He is probably one of the better keepers we have had in recent years, better than Calamity, better than Oaks and better than Enks.
  19. How about limiting the numbers of players in the club to x amount, so you don't do a chelsea and have two teams of internationals.
  20. Believe me, catheter bags can be purchased in this country...........oh wait, they are free on the NHS.
  21. Flop at wolves and charlton, surely that sends out some sort of message??
  22. Oops, I have just finished a 12 hour night shift so give me a break guys! I meant he didn't deserve the abuse he got! Anyway, I think he is 10 times better than Cole at heading the ball. I can only recall one header scoring a goal for rouch not only scored with his head, but won aerial balls to lay off for others to score (to Hendrie vs Chelski at VP last season).
  23. I agree with BOF, Crouch would have been an option to come off the bench, he didn't get the abuse he deserved, he would scare the shit out of defenders when we won corners. Cole is crap in the air for someone as tall as he is!
  24. If you had a choice between these two strikers, who would you go for? I didn't think Crouch was the most skilful of forwards, but at least he gave 100% and at least he was ok in the air, and at least he was a good option for us when coming off the bench. Cole has proved to be nothing more than a waste of space. 2 goals, wants to be in the Chelsea squad? You're 'avin a laugh mate!
