I don't mind him picking the same 11 players provided they are the best available to him and are fit to play (*caveat: it's clear that they aren't always fit, i.e. McGinn/Drinkwater last season, Barkley this season). What annoys me more is deploying the same tactics regardless of the opposition. There's no better word for it than stupid IMO.

It is a huge failure of our coaches that we can't. This is what the premier league is now - teams either dominate possession or play a high press. Somehow we've ended up being the shite team in the middle-ground.

Bit disingenuous. We're currently 7th and 4 of the 5 teams beneath us have yet to play this weekend. We could quite easily be bottom half by close of business this gameweek. Is that flying high?

I don't want Smith out. I want him to start managing the **** team. We have very capable players, it's the coaches' jobs to gel their unique abilities and the manager's job to deploy tactics that are tailored for the opposition and make logical sense. We give the ball to Grealish, he gets crowded out, we lose possession. That's been the plan here and last week. If he sends us out set up the same way in the second half, I can honestly sympathize with people who have no patience for him. Now, personally speaking, I'd said elsewhere that Smith had learned from last season, which ofc was his first in the Premier League and that comes with a huge learning curve. But it's like he's hit his head and forgot it all again - there is no evidence of a game plan out there. It's poor at best.

Does it matter how it happened? It's 0-3 at home - again. Heads are down and we're playing like utter morons. We can't get excited about 4 wins a row and then shrug about 2 crushing home losses against teams we should be collecting points from. The win against Liverpool was a miracle and put a smile on all our faces - but this is unacceptable and they do not balance each other out. This looks just like pre-Restart. We're regressing.

The tactics are the same every **** time. Give it to Grealish. We are playing teams now with managers who realize that regardless of Barkley, McGinn, Trez and Watkins being capable players, we're still intent on giving it to Jack every time we go forward. That means they can comfortably put three players on him to nullify his threat, and we do nothing with the space that this opens up. It's really Sunday league - give it to the skillful lad, the rest of you are here to make up the numbers and defend. We need to move past this shit as a club.

We haven't beaten them at home since 2004. Whether we're on form or not, we're just determined to play like dogshit against them.

Better say something positive about that 3-0 home drubbing, or be labelled a Worse Fan. There will be highs and lows this season. This is a low. But it is a significant one for me, because Leeds clearly wanted it more and worked a lot harder than us. It'll be interesting to see how we pick ourselves up against Southampton, Smith needs a reaction. Hard work please. That's the minimum requirement at this level.
