Just said he got sent off after the whistle
Did they say why? Lol -

Rees James sent off
What? -
Lol at that Pickford kick. Embarrassing.

Thought Mings could’ve attacked that Coady header.
-
This ref is atrocious.

Henderson coming on? How many subs do they get?

70 minutes and no attacking subs. Its worse than McLeish
DCL and Sancho coming on.

Southgate playing for the tie. So stupid. -
I take it we won’t be seeing any Grealish this game?

**** him. He obviously had no intention of ever joining us and was just waiting for a German team to come in for him
Apparently he was given a week off after deadline day because of how mentally draining all the transfer drama was.

Such a confusing tweet. Firstly it's not Jack's first match so the comparison is a bit off.
Secondly it's not ironic.
Thirdly they don't even share the last name, though blood is blood I guess.
It says first start for Grealish. Not match.
Agreed. The person who wrote that doesn’t understand irony.

grealish is head and shoulders the best/most creative player on that pitch.
Southgate playing 5-2-3????, the guy is clueless.....
This lineup is terrible and they’re playing boring football. Only time it’s exciting is when Grealish has the ball lol -

Jack finally gets annoyed and so he switches sides to get the ball, and bang. A goal.
Been saying it for a while - he's the best English player since Gascoigne. Whole squad should be built around him.
Cant remember which pundit it was but someone else said this on one of the post Liverpool analysis shows.- 1

This is like watching old Villa where Grealish has to run back so far just to get the ball to move forward.

What’s the sleeve on Grealishs leg/knee for?

Both goals were more Mings fault than Targett but obviously you've picked your scapegoat
I completely disagree on the first one. The second one was a perfectly placed pass between Targett and Mings, the latter ending up on skates by Salah. But the first one I would say is definitely more on Targett. He should've stayed outside to cover Salah. Mings had Keita covered in the middle but Targett decided to slide in at the ball which took an unfortunate bounce to the feet of a wide open Salah. Regardless, this is just nitpicking. Everyone was excellent the other night.

Bit literally every other source says next summer. I was trying to work this out last week.
Well when he signed the new deal, supposed, 3 year deal he still had 2 years left on his original contract. Maybe that’s what people are referring to by saying next summer? -

Thanks @Aston_Villan4 and @sne. Going by that, Elmo, Taylor and Lansbury will all leave. And, depending on what happens with guilbert, only Taylor leaving would need someone bringing in to play in that position.
I think next year's priority will be LB, hopefully one good enough to see targett become back up. I also think CM will be a priority depending on what happens with Barkley and Luiz. If they both stay then we will be set in those positions.
Then, it'll be strength in depth at CB and perhaps a new winger. We've obviously come a long way in 2 years, but there's still work to be done.
Another question, when does hourihanes contract run too? It doesn't say on there.
I don’t know if Villa ever officially announced the terms of his deal but Wikipedia claims Hourihane signed a new 3 year deal in July 2019.

Can anyone tell me where to get a list of contract expiry dates and in particular, whose contracts will expire next summer. Will be interesting, for me, to look at that squad list minus players that will be out of contract next summer.
I presume we will be seeing the last of the old regime leaving and will be interesting to see what the recruitment team will be looking at for next year. We can keep an eye on who performs well this year and perhaps look at targets as the season progresses!
Also, I'm going to say it now, I can seriously see us signing Barkley on a permanent next year if this loan goes well. He really seemed to be happy the other day, I've never seen the guy smile so much. Regular gametime, a bit of love from teammates and supporters and I don't think he would want to go back to being 5th choice in a Chelsea squad.

Doesn't he have a release clause? Somebody elsewhere mentioned that he has a premier League one but I cannot remember where I heard it. Could be a load of nonsense of course.
From what that I've read on him there could be a release clause but the specifics of it aren't public knowledge at this point.

Which is their right, no one on here has said it’s likely or thinks we have a chance this summer, just admiring.
I’m not criticizing anyone. I just saw Sulberto mention a £35m+ million number and was clarifying what Watford want for him.- 1
