I think Threads made a MASSIVE error in releasing before it was really ready with lots of features still unavailable. If they'd waited till it was fully functional then the mass migration would have probably worked instead of what happened which was a ton of people trying it and concluding it didn't work very well.

Yeah I'm ready to move. I have a blue sky code, but it just didn't seem very intuitive. Twitter and tweets was such a great bit of branding too, nothing else has the same feel. Definitely not **** 'X'.

Yes, we all use products and services from providers we'd rather not.

I just feel Musk / Twitter has become an outlier which it's fairly easy to avoid.

I'd never buy a Tesla or a Tesla home battery and i'd never sign up to Twitter. I won't even click a link anymore.

I was just picking issue with the I'm happy to carry on as I don't see it comment.  The rest is purely personal.  Personally I'd prefer to do my tiny bit to shut him the **** up.

It's hard to find an alternative for what Twitter does though. I'm sure we'd all move over if there was a decent alternative, but there isn't really. For the record, I hate Musk, and think he's an idiot.

It’s not about if Olsen is a good keeper or not, it’s about if he can play our system.

    He can’t.

    He just can’t.

Either change him, or change the way we play when he plays.  I don’t understand why this concept is so difficult. The whole defence starts to panic when he’s in goal for this very reason. Let the guy boot it.

Some of the passes he makes, and the intensity he nails them are absolutely **** insane (sure he does make some good saves though). I don't know why I'm replying to you particularly here!

The really interesting thing with DMT is that people who have no connection to eachother whatsoever are apparently seeing the same kind of visions, down to some relatively fine detail. I didn’t even know DMT existed until earlier this week.

edit - that’s people taking it recreationally

It's not a drug. It's crossing into another dimension. Unfortunately the only time I took it I was smashed, and I don't remember what the aliens said. I only remember saying, 'It's true. It's all true.'

No idea what that was in fact—what was true—and I and the people I was with were all so temporarily space travelly that we broke the pipe and couldn't take any more to go back and find out. Good stuff. Would do it again. It only lasts fifteen minutes, but they're the most unexpected fifteen minutes you can imagine.

When you’ve got Danny Ings saying his dad didn’t know about the love and some fellas posting it on Twitter even an hour before then that’s enough for me

He called Emery the week before it happened while we and all the rumours were thinking it was going to be the Portugese guy. He definitely knows things as far as I can tell. I don't get why people are so obsessed with being right about ITKs being bs.

Why would that be though? I've only seen it on new villareport who stink like the original avfc faithful tbh.

You'd think there's no way the deal we made was 'OK we'll buy him for you for £20 million and if we sell him for £20 million you get £10 million of it.'

That wouldn't make any sense. I imagine this situation where the sell on clause only refers to profit is common. Normally it's applied to people on the up where profit would be more expected—like Exeter getting a cut of Brentford's Watkins to Villa fee, which was a huge profit.

I like castore as a brand, I like their logo but the kits they design are shyte.

Can we not just have Luke design the kits again, they were absolute beauts.

The Luke kit is so overrated imo. This season's isn't as bad as peeps are making out (except for the weird sweat effect)

It's the last line there that made me sigh. He was making an argument, then suddenly he throws in an unrelated thing that clearly occupies a lot of his brain time.

Ahsoka seems to have been well received based on the first 2 episodes.

Strange seeing Ray Stevenson in a prominent role, knowing he's dead.

I've seen one good review and about three terrible reviews suggesting it was soulless and empty of life. With Disney's track record I'm doubtful myself (I exclude Andor, which was great!—and about one season's worth of scattered episodes here and there in the Mandalorian)

Thought the betting sponsor couldn't be used in European games?

It was very visible against Hibs last night

It's a Spanish thing I believe. (Maybe elsewhere too, but we didn't wear it against Valencia because it was in Spain)

Going to be a ECL legend this guy, but in the Prem he is a luxury we can’t afford most games. See also Coutinho.

He was effective in the Prem before, so why not now? I get it that we should be aiming for a different type of player maybe, but he can have his moments too.

Salah doesn't get rotated. He threw a hissy fit last week getting subbed on 77 mins or around that. He's been playing most games all comps for years because he's a competitive athlete

Like all the other players out there who get injured sometimes. To be fair to Salah, he seems to have a pretty great injury record, but he's just one example.

Him throwing a hissy fit when he got subbed doesn't really change my point. Even if it did that's just one example. There are other teams who have a different approach.

  14. Just now, Kiwivillan said:

Ings? I agree with the latter. We're not rotating strikers so how do you attract a big money striker?

I don't think we're rotating strikers because we don't have like for like equivalents. For all of Ings' qualities, he couldn't do what Watkins does for us. The difference in presence up front was noticable whenever Watkins was dropped.

  15. Just now, Kiwivillan said:

But ok when likes of Salah and Kane et al do for other teams?

Is that what their clubs wanted though? I imagine Liverpool buying so many forwards has helped rotate Salah a bit, even if it's just to sub him off during games. They do have other options. Spurs seem to have tried it themselves—they have Son and others too (like we have Diaby to be fair), and who knows, if Spurs had managed to rotate a bit they might have actually won something and not finished below us last season.

Watkins was 2nd most owned FWD in Fantasy PL +40% because price and expected to start every game and play big minutes and not be rotated. I think the wisdom of the masses is correct. Emery said a while back he's the main man.

But this is the crux. We don't have an alternative, and that's why we need to sign one. We can't expect Watkins to play 50+ games for 90 minutes.

For me, Tammy would have been a great signing. I think he and Watkins both have decent presence up front, which Emery seems to prefer to a fox in the box type (Archer/Ings) who might disappear a bit at times.
