  1. Who is going to want SG as manager now, this result is like someone done a full debag on SG and bared his useless ass to the world.
  2. Amorim !!!! with all of his 3 years experience of managing in a league way below premier league standard, there is only ever 1 of 3 teams wins the league, what depth of knowledge in playing preassure matches week after week will he have, none.
  3. I dont understand your point exactly, are you in favour of Ruben Amorim ? Just about everyone has been screaming for weeks now that SG must go, and the overwhelming shout has been that we need a manager with experience, Ruben Amorim has managed in a league that is way below the standard of the premier league, and only for 3 years. You can't do due diligence on someone with such little experience, it would be a gamble, we are too big a club to have to rely on taking these kind of gambles to find a manager.
  4. Too early for me to have a favourite, I like to go through an elinination process to narrow it down before I come to a 1st choice, the first deffinate NO is Ruben Amorim, he is greatly lacking in experience, and what little experience he does have is managing a club in Portugal, having lived there for 15 years I can tell you that winning the league there in his second year is on a par with Gerrard winning the Scottish league with Rangers. The Scottish league is only ever a battle between 2 clubs, the Portuguese league is only ever a battle between 3 clubs, he has no experience with week to week preasure games, most of the teams he will have come up against as a manager would struggle in the English championship. We need a PROVEN manager, he has no more experience than Gerrard and the Premier league would be like throwing someone in at the deep end who cant swim.
  5. You don't keep a useless manager for weeks longer because the team has a good 45 mins, well actually, this is Villa, so obviously we will give SG another season based on this performance. We are doomed.
  6. Of course its on him, what they do on the training ground all week is put into practice on match day, its obvious what they are doing on the training ground is not making them better players.
  7. Please don't get my hopes up with that kind of sweet talk.
  8. And not even offered a drink first.
  9. Our club is being run by fools, from owners right through the scouts who recommended that we spend millions on the leftover crap that no one else wanted, a whole bottle of bleach needs to be poured down the pan and the chain needs to be pulled.
  10. Sadly, there are a handfull of if's in every game we play at the moment.
  11. What worries me about loosing is it might be the moment they get rid od SG, at last, but Brucie is waiting to step into Stevies shoes and it raises the question, are our decision makers daft enough to take him.
  12. I listened to the match on the radio and the commentators were saying over and over again we were too slow, lacking ideas, no quality in the final third, and these type of comments were not just one off comments, they also said we were mostly without any idea how to break leeds down, who were poor themselves.
  13. I can not understand how people are defending SG and blaming the players. Its Gerrards job to do the work off the pitch with the players, so when they are on the pitch they dont play like they did today. He simply is not doing his job, it is his fault we play the way we do. Yes players can have an off day, but the whole team is playing crap almost every week, and every one says this is the best squad we have had in a long time. It's about time the powers in charge hear the voice of the fans. If we had acted sooner (before Chelsea) then we could have possibly lured Potter, but that ship has sailed so we need to act now or we will be swapping SG for another left over manager that nobody else wanted.
  14. Sorry but you are wrong. Its Gerrards job to do the work off the pitch with the players, so when they are on the pitch they dont play like they did today.
  15. Over the moon with the win, on the downside SG bought himself some extra time. We are so bad, an unpleasant thought flashed into my head, would I have sacrificed the win if it got SG out quicker, but I quickly dismissed that idea, however just the fact that is even poped into my head shows how bad I think our future is with that clueless noob in charge.
  16. You dont say why, do you think he is not as good as the players we now have in the squad ?
  17. For a future signing, I think our man Jack G should be brought back, and I think his lack of game time at City could impact his England place, so that could be a factor, maybee not, but it will be interesting to see how that goes, however if he is not a first team regular at an already over crowded Man City he may become restless only being on the fringe instead in the spotlight, so he may jump at a chance to come home if we get the check book out.
  18. I could also quote the famous saying " even a broken clock is right twice a day" .When the broken clock is showing the correct time that is just luck, it doesnt mean the clock is suddenly working, its still broke. I suppose we could just wait another 12 hours and it will be the right time again. SG has been repeatedly critisised on this forum for his, team selection, team formation, lack of tactis and bad decisions. We get a draw against Man City and everyone thinks Gerrard has had an managerial epiffany, I hope he has, but I doubt it. I have been a Villa loyal for 60 years and I have seen us used as a training ground for newbie managers too many times, Villa are better than that so why do we do it. But regardless of your "manure" comment, you are a fellow Villa fan and I respect you views.
  19. Do I have an agenda, you bet I do, my agenda is make Villa great. Also I never said it was a lucky result. The result was due to a superb hard fought effort by the players. What I said was he was lucky with his team choice, he has tinkered with the team too much, many other people have said the same, if the team he picked was down to his great managerial skills then how come he has been clueless for so many other games, and not just this season, how come he cant see how bad the McGinn appointment was. SG has been repeatedly critisised on this forum for his, team selection, team formation, lack of tactis and bad decisions. We get a drew against Man City and you think Gerrard has had an managerial epiffany, I hope he has, but I doubt it. I have been a Villa loyal for 60 years and I have seen us used as a training ground for newbie managers too many times, Villa are better than that so why do we do it. And of course I was thrilled by the result.
