And it would have continued the same. Putting 2 strikers on meant Wes had close support and also meant that they had to keep men back to cover it! Makes perfect sense.

It wouldn't have worked as we were getting overran as it was....Zaha was always their get out man...putting on an extra striker meant that they had to adjust their team to nullify the threat...so fair play. 

Just a shame that every bounce or ricochet of a ball goes to the other team.  Happened against Spurs for goal 2 and Ayew was very lucky with that ricochet!

I just hope these f$%k ups even themselves out over the season!

It seems the 'established' teams get a good run of the green with decisions....unfancied or promoted teams seem like they have to work hard to get into this exclusive club!

Zaha sort of bought it really and it was naive of Trez to leave his foot in.  However, the lack of cards to similar challenges by that twunt was very confusing.  He protected the Palace players more than ours and gave them a free hand in the challenges!

Need to take the stance of rugby....allow the play to continue until it stops then (in the case) ask the question 'Any reason not to award the goal?'  Then allow the VAR to either agree with the Ref's assessment or not!

Every single pundit has asked why VAR hasn't corrected the decision and have said Friend has made an awful decision! Mean feck all though if we were to be relegated by 1pt!!!  Which we won't

The whole build up to that play was quicker and zippier which allowed him to run into space.  Still haven't got a feckin' clue why VAR didn't intervene with that!

I think the word 'assist' gets abused a bit! Guilbert's goal for instance was a pass from a corner. Guilbert then controlled it looked up and put in a great finish just because Lansbury passed it to him hardly makes it an assist. In my eyes, an assist is where your team mate has to do nothing other than put the ball in the net!

I felt most of the game passed him by.  Nakamba had a far better game and was more influential.

Guilbert played LB in his place so Guilbert is the best LB at the club now

Plenty of time for him to force his way in!

And I bet he is busy now looking at possible targets in January.  I bet we see a couple of signings from abroad like the Guilbert deal.  Signed permanently then loaned back to their old clubs ready to start with us next season.  Wouldn't mind if they turn out like Guilbert too!
